  • Don't forget to use C10YAY to bring it down to $213 shipped

  • I need a new phone to replace my ageing nexus 4, if the camera and battery seemed a little better I'd be all over this like a sticky child.

    • +2

why would you want to be all over a sticky child?

      • ….like a sticky child's fingerprints is what I meant to say.

    • Like a fat kid on a doughnut?

Is it just me or is this the ugliest phone ever made?

    • +1

      It's me as well.

Was looking at this a while back on Massdrop… Stopped looking at it after seeing this https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EU6Tv-OfXk0

    • yes mate, its made with thin piece of plastic.

    • That bend test towards the end scared me.
Going by that, half-sit once with the phone in your back pocket and game over.

    • I gave up watching after he pulled out the Stanley knife.

Not exactly what you'd call a real world test.

      • +1

Nah that part is pointless but the part where he tears it to pieces with his bare hands speaks a bit to the overall durability

      • Well if i knife doesn't scratch it then that is a good sign that your keys or similar will not.

Makes more sense i guess if you have seen it on other phones as well.: https://youtu.be/_CZj-l9MJmg?t=3m14s

  • Dam you ozbargain. I now have a phone coming. Seems good to me for $212.50. C10YAY works. With android 7 beta out and to be coming out soon, specs great, band 28 etc. The Midnight seems like the right color for me. NFC too. Also I'm sick of the Chinese spying on me. Id rather just google do that.

  • How much Data does it churn through? Will the price of this phone justify the increase in telco costs cos it can move a lot of stuff on the cloud?

    • well, you can set cloud to sync when wifi is avilable.

    • +1

It seems you can turn that rubbish off and just use Google now launcher and get the app drawer going.

      • yeah mate, its developer friendly.

  • +1

Why does anyone like this phone? I don't get it.

    • I don't know. It seems like the cloud storage ability is the main selling point, but then it has a mediocre camera? Which would be the main storage filler for user created data.
