  • To clarify the free version does everything the pro version does other than encrypt traffic between hosts (if that's relevant to you) and offers 'priority' tech support. To get Symless tech support to respond to me when I bought the pro version I had to raise a dispute with PayPal.

    • A 'free' version doesn't exist as far as I'm aware? I assume your talking about the 'basic' version?

      • https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synergy_(software)#Synergy.2B

        "Released under the terms of the GNU General Public License, Synergy is free software."

        "On 8 September 2014, the Synergy developers started charging a fee for distribution of pre-compiled binary files of Synergy on their website, while offering a free download for the source code. The developers claim only "0.002% of people were donating" to fund the development before charging"

        Binary builds can be downloaded from;

        I purchased on one of their sales to support the development. Based on the tech and account support I've received up until now I wouldn't spend any more on it than what is listed above.

    Nice - used to use this, but then ended up using a free MS alternative - just as a FYI

    • Doesn't support cross platform devices, whereas Synergy does
