        Wouldn't recommend giving your missus the dutch nuts, unless you're dutch.

      But, but MSY are currently selling these things for $345. Correct me if I'm wrong, but l thought this was a pretty cool deal.

      • It is. Just depends on what you plan to use it for

  • Great price for a basic laptop.
    Thanks OP!

  • Double check the 500gb 7.2k claim - site says the drive is a 5400rpm.

    • think you might be right there……removed from title.

      • Sweet deal though. Nice find. But if it had a WD black in it, that would really tip it over the edge of super good bargain.

  • I got one of these win8 vversion a coupleof yyears ago for about 200 from oo sales or similar. It came with 2gb but i had a 4gb ram at home so i figured I'd upgrade. I'vewworked with llaptops for years but never come across anything intentionally ddifficult to upgrade. Had to pull the entire laptop apart to pieces. Just want to mentionin case ppeople don't think 4gb is enough. OOther than that iit's a good basic laptop for internet and email. The WIFI on mine was an absolute dog so ended up getting a $5 usb one from ebay.
    on second thought for this price it's probably best to get some Chinese dual boot tablet with kbosrd on sale

  • Most people would benefit from a snappier machine that has an SSD instead of HDD.

      I agree but how much extra would that cost you? People seem to be forgetting the price of this thing when commenting..

  • How would this go for a grade 8 student who requires a laptop for school next year? The minimum specs required are:

    • 4GB of RAM or higher;
    • 802.11g or higher;
    • 6hrs+ battery life (do many laptops do this?)

    I know this meets the specs on paper and $250-$300 is the most we wanted to pay but would we find much better for say $350? We'd be happy getting a 2nd hand laptop but you never know what you're buying or would a refurb from somewhere like the Dell factory outlet be better, spec wise?

    Thanks in advance for any input or options.

    • If you can spend a little extra source out a 4GB / SSD option. Otherwise you might find something in this price bracket with a decrease in CPU and if only using it for school there will be plenty of speed.

  • Sold out. Please update Title.
