LOL!!! Someone in the marketing department has done their homework. But wait! There's MORE!!!

Sidchrome steak kni… I mean sockets.
      It worked. All gone.

Tim Shaw is working for the good guys now!

gonna hand a man a grander spanner

    • +2

      Socket.

  • +7

What an odd pairing. TV and socket set….

    • +13

      Yet surprisingly enticing!

    • Well they do have their target market in mind. Of course not all/only men want sockets, but I see the TV, sockets and credit and start thinking the tv is around $650… Very tempting.

  • Where is that $200 gift card ? there is nothing mentioned in website.

  • Is this TV any good?

    • Not much information available but its an IPS panel and specs show the panel as 100Hz but Panasonic fudge this figure so its probably only 50Hz.
If you factor in a 50% return on the extras use a starting price of around $800 to compare this to other 55" sets.

Is anyone getting the messsge it can't be ordered?

    • +123

Yes, I got that message loud and clear from my wife.

      • +8

Have you tried turning it on and off again?

        • +22

Good suggestion. Turning her on now.

        • Cant turn on, broken maybe.

        • -4

worked for me last time. send her back over to my place.

      • 'nuff said..

    • Yep I get Product cannot be ordered error as well.

  • Yes, looks like an error…!

    • I received my email to pick it from the Essendon store

the Tech guy at JB hifi praised this TV after LG's OLED tech, as its by far the 2nd best and have a Brighter and Crispier 4K LED almost nearer to the last tech of LED which is going to get outdated, but hey 998 not a bad deal for 55inch

    • +6

Funny that - the guy at my local JB said the same thing about the 7000 series Hisense, then the sales guy at TGG said the exact same thing about Samsung's 8000 series

      • +5

Funny that they all get commission.

Two questions never to ask salesman:
      1. What do you recommend?
      2. Has this product ever been returned due to quality issues?

  • I get "The product "896507" cannot be ordered."

  • I get the same "The product "896507" cannot be ordered.", talk to them and they says no availability in QLD at the moment.

  • I Get the same message yet it still shows stock available at my location

  • They disabled online ordering of this item till Cyber Monday is over.

  • I can order it….. Hmmmm

Does anyone know how big the box is?

  • From where? Can we buy straight from shop?

    • On the website using Chrome on my mobile and checking out with PayPal

  • Just ordered on payment with Amex. $35 delivery. Happy dayz

  • Plz let us know if you can finish transaction…! Thanks

  • I just order it as well, paid $132 for extra 3 years warranty. Total: $1127. Happy !

    • +1

Are you sure it's an extended warranty or just their concierge service?

    • +1

It's not an extra 3 years, it works out as an extra 2 years. Concierge starts from day 1 not year 2.

      • So they included the factory 1 year warranty as well ? My bad , maybe too excited to see the price then thought about the care. I read on the term and condition now. It's including loss and damage as well.

  • Seems to work again, but I don't know how useful the store credit is unless you have a specific purchase in mind. If GoodGuys sold PS4 Pro, I'd be all over this deal, otherwise, with the store credit set to expire by 24/12/2016 and us not having other items on our shopping list, it is likely to go to waste.

  • Those who have ordered online do you get any confirmation of the $200 voucher and sidchrome socket set via redemption?

I can add it to my cart for online and get all the easy the checkout/payment but unsure I about the voucher etc

  • Yep. Seems to be working again. Just ordered it.

  • For reference, I got a call from the allocated store (Chadstone VIC) within 1 minute of my successful order placement on their website! But the order number is not recognised for Bonus redemption for some reason. Maybe a I need to wait until its been delivered.

  • Hi, anyone knows the box size…?

    • +4

I'd guess its bigger than 55 inches.

  • Hi, can anyone comment on the FTA quality? Especially fast moving sports channel?

  • Buy this or wait for boxing day sales? I'm in no hurry for a TV but seems a decent deal..?

  • Bought - thanks OP! Hoping for a Weber sale from now until the 24th that I can use the 200 with - that'd be the ultimate bargain for me. Or.. PS4 Pro.

    • GG don't sell gaming consoles

      • Dang :( Will have to use that 250 cashback from that CBA credit card for the PS4 Pro then… fingers crossed for Weber then!

  • +1

For those that registered and haven't used the Amex cash back, I bought this at Harvey Norman and they matched the $200 store credit. Used 2 different Amex cards to pay. No socket set though!

    • Which HV was it?

      • +1

        Malaga WA

    • What about the 24 piece socket set?

      • Was more interested in the $200 Amex cash back than the socket set

      • +2

HN don't have any tools apart from Gerry himself, so they won't match that part.

  • Does anyone happen to have a screenshot of the website with the price? Would like to put through a price protection claim.

    Thanks

  • Anyone get their TV yet? I'm set for delivery on Saturday. Comment please on how it's going if you've got yours and set it up!

  • Got mine yesterday. Very easy to setup and looks great. Watched a 4K movie on Netflix. As always with Tv's get a good sound bar

  • +1

So how do we redeem the socket set? I realise now that the delivery guy made me sign something but I didn't get anything back. I also assumed that we would be getting online invoices - anyone else have this problem?

    • I would also like to know this!

  • If this helps anyone, I didn't get an invoice when the TV was delivered for "security reasons" apparently - I called their store and they sent me an email with a copy of the invoice (that also did not show up in my account's order history, strangely.)

I then used that invoice to make the claim. The claim ends tomorrow, so make sure to put yours in already!

  • Anybody received the cashback??

    • Umm - it's not cashback, it's 200 store credit, which should have been emailed to you? Check your email. I used mine to buy a Weber baby Q for 295 - so less store credit I forked out an additional $95 for it. $1095 for a 4K tv and Weber BBQ (and socket set due to arrive sometime in January apparently) - pretty stoked! Thanks again OP
