I don't think you understand how most small companies get raped on shipping charges. Guess the rough weight (volumetric) and see what AusPost will charge you to ship to the US. Most small businesses don't get much of a discount (if any). And I know they aren't sending from Aus, but it'll give you an idea.

I ordered two large plushies and paid US$22.75 postage, so it didn't seem completely unreasonable considering the size - and what the US postal service charges. Admittedly I didn't check postage charges on anything small. :\
The cheapest shipping they have is 33bucks when i do checkout with Paypal. Surely that cant be right?
