BeyerDynamic T90 Chrome Headphones $279.18USD Delivered ($372AUD Approx) at Buydig eBay

90

Cheapest ever I believe. Cheaper than it was during the 10% off deal. These are being replaced by the more expensive Amiron Home model, but according to some reviews these sound better. Also, they don't have a silly name like 'Amiron Home'.

  • I think this is a bargain I paid $490 usd for mine two years ago. I think these are also special edition.

  • Yeah, mine don't have the chromy bits.

Outstanding headphones. 90% of T1 performance for a quarter of the price? Absolute no brainer.

  • Are these much better than the ATH-AD700?

    • +1

      chalk and cheese

      • Might pass. Lots of reviews say they are very bright, I think my ears would get fatigued.

        • it's like this: AD700 -> AD900 -> AD9000 (aka T90)
if you like the ad700's i dont think you'll find these overly bright.

    • I own both. You are comparing a 1998 Hyundai Excel to a brand new M5.

  • Paid $1500 for my T90 Sepcial Edition + Amp + DAC

    • Quad Link D1 + Corda Jazz + T90 Jubilee Edition? :)

      • That's the one from Headphonic :)

        • I would PM but having issues - did you have any driver issues with your Quad?
I can only use the original drivers that came with the unit - problem is that it's so old the driver's digital signature has expired and I have to go through many loops to get it installed.
The one from the website doesn't work with mine :/

        • @needajp:

Windows 10 doesn't have any issues with the Quad. Can't remember if I had to install one from the disk or from the internet or whether it was PnP.

I will check tomorrow to see if I can find the disk and upload it to dropbox

  • I have a pair of Audio Technica M50x, how would these compare?

  • How are these compared to AKG M7xx?

  • Where can you buy one locally? I want to go and try them out first. I have too many headphones already to go blindly buying a new pair.

    Is it open or closed?

    • If you were in Perth, I'd point you at Headphonic, but they've closed their physical store and are now online only. They do, however, apparently come out to you with units to try if you're interested.

      They are open.

In short, these cans are better than most/all other headphones at this price. These are normally ~$6/700 (going by Headphonic's price), and well worth the dosh.

      • You need to use an amp though.. I find that an inconvenience.

        • You don't "need" to, but if you want to get the most out of it, you "should".

I've heard these run off a phone and a laptop with no amps, and it still sounds fantastic.

        • @psyren89: What amp would you suggest?

I'm looking for someone to talk me out of buying this.. the price is good but I have too many headphones already. :/

Do you know if you can extend the band longer than the 990 allows? The 990 isn't a good fit on my head, and I don't think my head is that long.

        • @lostn:
I couldn't recommend you an amp, sorry. I haven't done any research.

Couldn't tell you anything about the band, either.

        • @psyren89: Would you buy these?

I'm in two minds. I shouldn't. But the price is good.

  • Price went up by $10. Guess you can mark as expired now, or update.

Was in two minds about it the whole way.

I prefer the classic look over the Chrome. And I was hoping ebay would do another 10%/15% sitewide deal and get it through that.

Can anyone comment on how good this is for movies and games?

  • Mine arrived today, leave my Sennheiser HD600 from 2004 for dead!
