Please note that the Roomba 630 does not have a scheduling function. This means you can't set it up to run while you are at work. Better off going for the 650 which has this feature as the beauty of these things is that they run autonomously while you are not around.

    • Having had both kinds, and knowing how noisy they can be, I fully agree with this comment. You can manually hit go just before you leave the house but it's very easy to forget.

That Roomba is pretty poorly priced to be fair.
It's an old spec and is very much old tech now.

Godfreys had the 780 for $549 when I got mine and that's a big upgrade from this 630.

I went and ordered Xiaomi's one a couple of nights ago off of Gearbest for $490 delivered and, on paper, looks to be streets ahead of this Roomba as well as my own one (the 780).

It's wifi enabled, has an app, maps your rooms out for you unlike the lower spec Roomba's (like this one) that have a bit of a chaotic and nonsensical way of cleaning your house.

Also has about double the suction rating as this Roomba as well.

I'll have to look up this Samsung one any see what it's all about.
From the pictures alone, it looks abnormally tall and ugly though - I can't imagine it being able to clean under too many tables etc.

Let us know hownthe Xiaomi goes. Paper vs real life will be very interesting

      • Indeed! Semi excited, semi nervous!
I just sold my Roomba 780 a couple of hours ago… vacuumless at the moment! :)

  • I bought the samsung on Monday for 829 :( any idea if I'd be able to return it and buy it at this price?
