Rebel Sport - 20% off In-Store and Online (1 Day Only)

1310

Westfield is having a Super Saturday and Rebel is part of it with 20% off storewide. I assume it's also off their marked price.

Now for maximising your savings. Get Amex offer - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/279431 - for $20 off $50+ spend Rebel + $25 off $100 Westfield Gift card.

Example: Our favourite OzBargain sports shoe the Asics Kayano. Kayano 22 (older model and in black) currently for sale at $200. -20% off = $160. Split payment: Use Westfield Gift card -$100 off = $60. Use Amex to take another $20 off. Out of pocket = $117.95 (Someone correct my maths if wrong)

  • Too bad they don't sell Jordan gear at the Tea Tree Plaza store.

Too bad Rebel Sport is about 50% over inflated prices to begin with.

    • Yeah. I remember cotd selling the kayano for much cheaper last year even though it wasn't the latest model. But it was around $100 or something. After deducting my referral credit, I got a pair for $40.

    • not sure how they survive tbh
rip off most of it and much cheaper online if you look around

  • also many other stores inside westfields having storewide sales .. check the westfield website

There's also a rebel in the new section of Westfield Northlakes for those living North of Brisbane.

  • +3

The Ultimate Kids gift card (which is on special at coles at the moment) also covers Rebel Sports.

  • is this 20% off sale price or rrp?
where did you get your info from?

  • +6

Double check that the Rebel in your Westfield indeed accepts Westfield cards.
In WA, Carousel and Innaloo do not, but Whitfords does.
    Check here: https://www.westfieldgiftcards.com.au/Online/Information/Ret…

  • Shame that I have to work that day. Sigh.

  • Use Amex to take another $20 off.

Wonder if this will stack if you used the Android/Samsung Pay offer, $10 back for $30 spend?

    • should do. shop small and clickfrenzy did fine.

Hey I just got updated by my manager this is ALL rebel sport stores not just the ones in Westfields, but can't claim the Westfield offers if applicable D:

    • What about the online store? Will it be included? Cheers.

      • +1

I'm actually not sure about this one, the stores usually match online offers, but we don't usually hear about the online store matching an in-store offer.
Best to ask the Rebel Sport online team via facebook.

      • +1

Online store is included according to radio advertisement.

Can customer split payment using multiple amex cards at the store? E.g. $100 split by 2 amex cards in order to qualify 2 x $20 cash back

      • +3

Should be okay, no reason why it wouldn't work, you just have to let them know.
If you could, don't make them the same amounts, i.e. make one 1-2 cents different to each other.
Please just don't bring 8 amex cards and do this while you can see a massive line D:
Should be alright if you're doing this for Amex offers, if your item is $200 however, please don't try and put it on two separate $100 receipts for the westfield offer, it won't work. (Just have to mention this for those who will try anything and chuck a rage if they don't get their way).

20% off, Amex statement rewards (rebel and Westfield). It's like the inception of discounts.

Just looked at purchasing something on the rebel website, and it says at checkout that only 1 gift card can be used per purchase.

Is that the policy in store as well?

This is a pretty shady practice. Almost bait and switch.

    • -1

Their online system can't handle multiple gift cards for technical reasons. But, if you go in store I've seen them exchange lower value gift cards (of the rebel variety) for higher ones to allow you to use them in one purchase. I'd be reasonably sure Westfield gift cards won't work online anyway.

Really not sure how it's bait and switch? How many people have multiple gift cards?

      • "Almost" because you could have multiple AMEX cards that qualify for the deal, and you buy multiple $50 cards thinking it should work like cash, and not a $50 off coupon.

        Anyway, I'd check in store.

        • -1

Given that the offer is supposed to exclude gift card purchases and you're breaking the T&C's by purchasing them and getting the credits, I think it's pretty poor form to complain that it's 'Almost' bait and switch. You're 'Almost' stealing.

        • Just looked at purchasing something on the rebel website, and it says at checkout that only 1 gift card can be used per purchase.
Is that the policy in store as well?

Definitely not. I used 2 GCs today to use up the residual $2 on the first one today.
I would also be asking the Rebel Sport online team via facebook about this (not being able to use multiple gift cards for payment online - if this is what you're asking about.)

  • not in Chadstone??????????????????

  • Will I still get $20 Amex cash back if purchase the e-gift card? It brings me to cws.givex.com

    • No

  • Banner showing up online about 20% off, but doesn't seem to apply. Checked all the way through to checkout but no success!
Will try again in the morning, not holding my breath though, if last year was any indication the website will be almost un-usable!

    • Seems to be up and working (discounted) now. One hopes they learned from last year, it seemed to be working ok by the evening last year so hopefully whatever they did to fix it then they do a little quicker this time.

    • Just a heads up if it hasn't been mentioned already. Cashrewards now offering 10% cashback.
I tried using the ultimate kids gift card online currently 10% off but wouldn't work.

  • Website won't apply additional 20% off to already discounted items, wonder if they'll do it in store…

    • Since the T&Cs say it excludes products on promotion, I doubt it. That said, it looks like everything is 20% off or more.

  • Bought pair of Nike , sweet deal,

  • If you pay with gc on the website… do u still get the cashback?

  • Went instore to buy this item to avoid postage - Spalding Jam Indoor http://www.rebelsport.com.au/Product/Spalding-NBA-Slam-Jam-O…. Turns out it is $5 more instore. Since when does Rebel price stock differently online vs instore. Has anyone had experience with this?

Old price label on the shelf? I'd have just showed them their own website and asked for the lower price, there's a good chance it would scan lower anyway. (I had the same thing when buying a Chromecast from Officeworks, the online sale was nowhere to be seen on the shelf sticker, but it scanned at the same as online).
