  • Thanks OP. Got one for the in laws!

  • any idea why this thing won't work with ipad air or later model?

    • It does work with the iPad Air. I have one and it works fine.

I think as the item is a bit old and was released before the Air, Logitech have never bothered to update its compatibility.

      • got it. thanks

  • Does it work for the iPad Air 2?

    • Seems to from reviews but nothing concrete

Pretty cheap, I'm getting one, at worst it's a stand.

Oh and super saturday is here! Confirmed 20% off at the delivery screen.

And many thanks to the person who gave me a negative vote.

  • How does this hit the front page with just 17 votes?

    • Guessing that either it's a slow day or the votes came fast?

  • +2

bought two, one for me and another for me.

    • Got it today, the keyboard is boss, you can type efficiently and effectively on like a normal keyboard. The keyboard is really nice for serious types that need to work on Microsoft word.

If this is using bluetooth then should work with Android as well, correct?

  • Can anyone confirm whether it can also work for android devices please?

    • -2

      IOS only.

    • +1

Reviews and Q&A on Amazon suggest it'll work for both iOS and Android.

  • In theory this should work with a PC or laptop too. Or any Bluetooth device?

  • It works for my iPad Pro.

There's another bluetooth keyboard here: https://www.catchoftheday.com.au/product/logitech-keyboard-f…
I'm sure you can work out a way to use the keyboard effectively even if you don't have that particular model tablet.

  • Bugger missed this deal would have been good for a few xmas gifts including myself, any chance there be more stock?

  • The item is back in stock as of this morning

  • Is it really that useful?

    • It depends on if you use your iPad a lot for work or type a lot on it. I only use mine when I have to do a lot of typing. It's much easier to type on a really keyboard than the on screen keyboard. You also get to use the entire screen rather than the 2/3 screen when the onscreen keyboard is in use.

  • It says sold out

    • Sold out again. But it was available for sale earlier this morning. I bought another one for my brother.

  • Got mine today. And the batteries are leaking everywhere.
    The battery compartment is soaked!

    • Same here! :|

  • Same here. Starting to understand now why they were being sold for that price. Obviously this is from a batch of keyboards with faulty batteries. Rather than have to open them up they were probably sold to COTD for peanuts and they just sold them on without really knowing/caring. I got a few as gifts but now I can't really give them unless I open them up to replace the batteries, really a shame. They were Duracell batteries too that had expiry dates of 2018. The keyboard does work really well though once you clean it up.

Ok just an update. I got my 5 keyboard yesterday, was going to keep one and use the rest as stocking fillers. 3 of them leaked and judging from the posts I've seen I'm not the only one so its a batch issue. I had a chat with customer support just now and they first tried to push me to call Logitech support since there is a 3 year warranty and apparently they had no stock left to re-send. Well I reminded them their obligations under ACL and that if they can't replace then a refund would be in order. The guy then tried to make it out as a favour to me he would give me a refund in store credit. I reminded him again under ACL I don't have to accept a store credit and that he had to return the money back using my original method of payment. I think he got the point then and said he "Understands". So all resolved, got a refund on 3 of them. Too bad I can't use them as stocking fillers now that they have been opened/damaged but at least I got my money back on the defective ones. So I suggest if you get them open them up I bet the majority will have the same issue and you don't want to risk giving them as a gift and getting red-faced. Call them and get them to issue you a refund straight away.

    • Damn that sucks! I hope they let you keep the keyboards.

Did you just open it and see it leaking everywhere? I got mine, took the batteries out just then and there's no leakage, but now I'm wondering whether this is something that'll develop later on

Yeah, they wanted a few pics to make sure I wasn't trying to scam them or something and then since it was clear I knew my rights, they had to refund at the end. I think the fact that they were $10 keyboards that were probably not sourced from an official channel, there was no point in getting me to send them back since it would cost more postage and man-hour to process them. I got them last night but didn't open them till late, before I did though I saw the posts about the leakage issue and I knew it wasn't gonna end well. It wasn't so much leaking as there was dried crystals of the leaked liquid all through the back seams, so I knew it had been leaking for a while and it had got right into the PCB and internals making them a total right off. It turned out it was one battery from each keyboard. One was so bad I couldn't even get the battery out of the unit. Make sure you check the inside of the battery compartment for any more liquid and chuck those batteries out. I can't believe OEM Duracells could be that bad, though they were made in 2011. I doubt you'll have any problems in the future if you clean out any leaks well and use quality batteries.
