Pepsi etc Varieties $20 for Two 24 Can Cubes at Coles

350

Works out to 42c per can.

Basically this is Coles matching last week's Woolies special http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/27661, except that you have to buy 2 cubes min. I saw this advertised in the Daily Telegraph and also confirmed there was stock on the shelves at Chatswood, NSW. However I cannot find it in the online catalogue and I don't have a docket to upload because I'm all stocked up. So if someone else could find the URL or upload a docket scan, that would be appreciated. Also confirmation for states other than NSW would be good.

And remember to use the express checkouts to get away quickly with your purchase and not be tempted to buy other stuff at non-bargain prices. :)

    Confirmed in VIC.

  • anyone seen these in SA?

  • I prefer Coke.

Pepsi tastes too sugary and has less of that buzz

    • That's funny… I prefer Pepsi because Coke tastes too sugary.

      • Really? I prefer Pepsi because it is more sugary than Coke. Now Coke in Europe, particularly Germany.. That is sugary, yum!

    • To each their taste. Coles has Coke cubes on sale too, but Coke is always more expensive. It's $18 for 24 at the moment. Sometimes it comes down to $15.

I'll buy Coke if it hits 50c per can.

  • Pepsi cubes are often on special for around $10 for 24 cans at coles. I see it probably bi-monthly

That often? Lucky you. I keep an eye on the price because I consume perhaps a cube a month and it's more like once a month or two where I live. But the bargains tend to come irregularly, sometimes there's a drought of a few months.

      • haha well when you work at coles you notice these things via the increased work loads lol

  • Good deal though I've always wondered what sort of water do they use in soft drinks, is it just tap water because it's so much cheaper than bottled water.

    • Of course. It's basically just filtered tap water and they carbonate it in the factory. Bottled water is really a rip-off, relying on marketing. You could fill up your bottle with tap water and it would slake your thirst just as good.

And yes, soft drinks are also a sort of rip-off too, if you work out what goes into it. It's mostly marketing. But I need a bit of caffeine and to have my throat tickled by the bubbles now and then. :)
