  Electrolysis is the only reliable method of hair removal, and even then it will take several sessions.

    Untrue. Speaking from personal experience with laser hair removal, it IS effective and does stop hair from growing back. Results will vary from person to person, especially depending on hair and skin colour, but the fairer your skin is and the darker your hair is the better your results.

    I've had several of my body regions done and have found greater 'success' of hair removal (ie. stops growing back seemingly entirely, except for the odd hair here and there, say three little hairs growing back on my leg) on some body parts. Under arms and lower legs have been amazing.

    I've had fewer than 10 sessions on each area too. Incredibly happy. Haven't had laser for probably 6 months? now and dont feel the need to go back. I just maintain by shaving away the stray hairs.

    Of course if you're after a 100% hair free result, you'll either need to continue getting more laser sessions or as you've suggested, look into other types of removal. I'm pretty damn happy with my near 100% results though :)

      All I know is, Laser doesn't kill the hair follicle, and Electrolysis does. So one is reducing the size and darkness of hairs, and the other is killing the hair follicle (after several sessions they'll be dead for sure). Also, chances are electrolysis is cheaper.

      Which would you prefer?

  So how many treatments do you actually need for this to work (I.e. Will it work in the 2 treatments or are you up for 10?)

    Depends where you want to get it done. Arms? Legs? Underarms? Brazilian?

    I found my underarms responded quickest, and maybe lower legs too… so 2 sessions in and most of the hair never grew back. I did keep going for a few more sessions just to make sure though, and to get extra hairs.
