Saw an ad on Facebook, and then confirmed in the app. Link is to the T & Cs as that is all I can find, but details are in the app.

Steps should be as follows:

  1. Install/open Samsung Pay app
  2. Setup if not already done (appears you must set as default payment method)
  3. Click on the "An early treat for you" promotion and register
  4. Add at least one loyalty card
  5. Confirm loyalty card added on promo page.
  6. Copy code, go to "Redeem here", enter code and email, select $10 Woolworths voucher.
  7. Done!

Supported Devices: Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy Note5

          i had the S6 Duos and i think you can you install the Samsung Pay, only if you use a VPN.

          e.g. get Hola VPN or some other VPN service onto your phone.
          then, using that VPN, connect into Google Play store, and try to install Samsung Pay.

          if not, then it's your device ID, preventing the installation.

          as far as i know, Samsung Pay is only launched in a particular country/region, and those Galaxy DUOS phones, were released for Middle-Eastern or Indian market.

          Also for those with a XSG country code device (United Arab Emirates), use these versions of samsung pay: Samsung pay app Version: 2.2.02 Samsung pay. framework version: 2.4.02

          so, check your phone's CSC code (use a FREE program like "Phone Info" by VNDNguyen)

        hhmmm i was able to download it on my note4, but struggling with registering a card coz i dont have amex or citi bank.
        i have a westpac amex card tho and that wont work.

          Just to repeat - you do not need to add a credit card, just a loyalty card (it has a list of options - eg. Woolworths Rewards, etc).

          i think i have a different screen, coz when i go into promotions, its blank or says there are no current offers.

          i tapped my watch and it installed.. i think the interface is a lot different to those who have flagship phones. mine doesnt have what theyre describing early treat for you promo

      if you have rooted your phone, then it trips the KNOX Counter (turns the "zero" to a "one")
      you cannot get it back to zero again.

      once KNOX counter is tripped, then your phone's security has been compromised, so Samsung Pay and other 'sensitive' applications, will not install or work.

    you dont even have to activate a CC before setup, just set it as default, select later for CC and add a loyalty card like woolworths rewards or something, thats all i did then selected the promo for $10 giftcard and redeemed it, now gone back and set my NAB pay as default payment.

          @ChillBro: Is it grey imported one? If so, then no. Samsung Pay is country specific (you need to have the firmware and it comes preloaded). You'd probably be able to get it by flashing Australian firmware if your model is same as Australian model.

          If not, then probably because your phone haven't been updated to the one that had Samsung Pay enabled? Or check Galaxy App store, I think Samsung Pay related stuff are distributed through that.

          @ChillBro: Because most of the S7 and S7 Edge were global model (like Australian one), you probably could change it to Australian one if yours is G935F.

          That said, you'd have to download ~2GB file and back up and reinstalling, which probably isn't worth $10.

      The bank has to support Samsung Pay (most still dont), the NFC will then talk to Paywave/Paypass. It can also talk to old style magnetic swipe, but not chip readers, swipe are pretty rare in Aus now.
      Not sure how the gift card works? They are basic old swipe so I guess it might emulate an actual gift card?

        For the gift card, you enter the card number and pin on the EFTPOS terminal (if instore obviously). And if online you do the same at the payment section when checking out.

          Yeah, seems like a lost opportunity for it not to emulate a magnetic or barcode giftcard. Kind of backwards using an NFC magswipe emulating phone to get a PDF giftcard number you have to type in.
          Would think they would want to push that and get an e-giftcard market up and running.

          $10 is nice either way.

      setting up fingerprint were difficult on my dad's s6 edge plus first time but after setting up a new fingerprint through settings and going back to the app, setting another fingerprint, it seemed to fix the issue.

    Title should state Amex issued and Citibank card holders only. Samsung Pay doesn't recognise bank issued Amex cards.

    I have added loyalty cards to Samsung before, so when I click on the banner link, add another random card, it won't work. Afterwards, I deleted the Wollies card stored on the device and magically I got the unique code. Weird.. But it is now working anyway, added the $10 to the card app. Easiest $10 ever. Thanks OP!

      The self serve checkouts at the Coles and Woolworths around me can't read from the phone screen.

      At BWS and Woolworths Caltex stores it seems fine unless they have old scanning equipment.
