Looking at the back of the packaging of the same unit I bought from Dick Smith before they were acquired by Kogan, the tips are compatible with

  • Dell
  • HP / Compaq (fat tip)
  • HP / compaq (thin tip)
  • Sony
  • Samsung
  • Toshiba / Compaq
  • IBM / Lenovo
  • Acer
  • ASUS, Gateway, IBM, Toshiba, Sharp, Fujitsu, Panasonic

This charger however was not compatible with my HP Folio 940m, so do take note that some recent ultrabooks, particularly high-end business ones, have their own proprietary standards and won't be compatible.

The charger also has a USB charging port, which can charge a tablet or smartphone. It is unknown if it is actually 1 amp or 2.1 amps, as the box indicates the port is 1 amp, while the MSY description says otherwise.

    • that's just for the USB port on it.

  • I have tried but cannot get any information on the voltage output of this charger. I though different laptops used different voltages but could be wrong. Does anyone know the specs on it?

    • The 90W version does state Intelligent circuitry with built-in voltage sensing detects and responds your laptop's power needs, while safety features ensure that your device is protected Link

Though I could't find anywhere that explicitly states the 65W has the same technology, it should be safe to assume so. It is advertised as an universal laptop charger after all.

    • Most 65W Universal chargers (and most <17" laptops) are generally 19Volt at 3.4Amps (90W ones are usually 19V at 4.7A).
I imagine that this is the same, although yes, touch to find specifics of it online.
My Dell charger is 19.5V at 3.34A, but 0.5 Voltage difference shouldn't be an issue.

        The specs say:

        Input Voltage 100-240v
        Output Voltage 19v DC
        Output Current 3.15 Amps
USB charging: 1 Amp @5v DC
        Output Power 65 watt max
