I long for the good old days, when bands toured when they were popular then retired.

edit - where is the price in the title?? This appears to be a common marketing ploy by all ents companies nowadays. Advertise an event, but don't include the price.

edit 2 - and I won't even mention that new favourite trick: advertise only 1 or 2 concerts, let them sell out…. then miraculously, new dates become available! haha.

not very highly anticipated then if tix are 50% off

    • Most people are probably over Axl Rose's BS while on tour. Last time they played in Sydney they were late on stage by a few hours.

I long for the good old days

    The 1800s were great!

    • Where men were men, women were housekeepers and everything else was target practice.

Geez they must have been expensive to start with, if they're just under $200 at half price.

Velocity Admit - Floor GA Standing $178.35 + fees

Yeah the prices are a joke. I eagerly went to get tickets when they were released but at hundreds of bucks a pop I passed.

    • I paid less than 100 when they were young. sounded great and were successful. Now, I would pay 50 bucks top for GA

  • +1

I don't care how good they are. $180 for GA tickets is ridiculous.

    • Pretty standard for big name artists.

  • Pricks

I already paid 180 for gold ga all the way back and now i could havd got diamond for the same price

  • Very tempted to go to the MCG one. Absolutely loved the Caulder park 1993 concert although it was freaking hot and then (typical of Melbourne) had massive thunderstorms that afternoon. Basically it was a mud fest.

Having it on Valentine's Day makes it a bit annoying though.

Anyone helpful enough to post up all the costs?

Another promoter deal here, slightly better discount on Premium tickets:

    http://www.tegdainty.com.au/special-offer/

"access Premium tickets for the rockin’ price of just $99.90 (saving of $134.50!)"

    Edit: sorry Sydney only

"This offer is for the Guns N’ Roses Sydney show on Saturday February 11, 2017."

  • I would have gone if they weren't playing at the worst stadium in Brisbane

  • I would say a lot of it's because Axle was woeful last time I saw them in Townsville.

  • Can I claim price drop on credit card?

  • Hello.

I signed up for velocity to get these. I have been waiting for half price tix ($360 was always a bit rich) so am going to pull the pin however the ticketek site asks for a password. I've tried 'velocity' my membership number and velocity password. Can anyone who purchased these provide some help?

    Thanks
    Paul

    • Hi Paul, Just purchased some tickets. You need a velocity account and ticket tek account. The discount should show in your velocity part of the transaction.

      • Grrrr. Actually on mobile site says I need to wait 24 hours before ordering. So will wait until I start losing it.

        Thanks

      • So annoying. Still not working. I've hit them up with a message so hopefully someone will be able to help but if not I'm sure there'll be more cheapies down the track.

  • So mad. I paid full price to get in early on pre-sale. Now they cheapen the tickets. Ticketek should give a discount seeing as those who already purchased still haven't received their tickets. If the prices weren't so exorbitant in the first place, maybe it would have sold out.

  • I contacted Dainty - will see the response. Unfort purchase protection on my cc was only 90 days. They had some really good tickets left as well on discount, I wouldn't have cared if they were crp

  • WoW!! I went straight to the Ticketek website & got a DIAMOND GA STANDING ticket at $178.35 instead of $356.75……….I'M STOKED!!! Didn't have to sign up for a Velocity B*ST program!!!
    ………Front row here I come!!!
