Good price for brand name torch with batteries that are readily available, but I think once you start using 18650 torches it's just not the same.

Personally I find the beam that led lensers produce is so satisfyingly even from edge to edge as shown here but you're right - can't go back to these pissweak 100lm torches once you've laid hands on a 2000lm triple led monster!

      • So what is the 18650 Ozbargain torch of choice?

        • +1

BLF A6 is probably the ozbargain choice however the newer version does not use protected cells. It is bloody bright and has a good mix of flood and throw.

If you don't have any 18650 torches and are not a flashaholic (yet), then you would probably be best to get one with built in USB charger.

  • I kinda want one but experience has told me Lensers are overpriced and easily break. Spent $80 on one only to have the switch fail on my just outside of warranty.

      RRP is overpriced.
      But build quality is great.

  • The beam is definitely different in the led lensor. Although I have never seen an led prduce a black hole in the middle like the image!
