Make sure you shop around, 1 month free may still be more expensive than going through someone else…

    • great tip!!!!

        Never expect with jv.

        jv just is

      • say "where is the bargain"

Most useful comment made by jv so far 😀

  • Coles home & content insurance are far more expensive then many others.

    • While for me they are one of the cheapest…

More expensive for me compared to RAC got a quote yesterday and it was no where near RAC

        • I also got the quote from RAC, DoDo Insurance and Woolworths Insurance and found Coles to be far more expensive.

          @AbhiC:

yeah i only wanted it for the flybuys

  • I've been stung with coles, low cost insurance=low level of coverage and more loopholes than you can shake a crutch at!

    • can't speak for home insurance. but their car insurance side is fantastic had a claim (non-fault) and was such an easy process.

      • I've got their car insurance and made a claim, there a nightmare.

Id steer clear, just going by my experience.

Didn't get things sorted till months later

Tried telling me a lot of non sense saying I wasn't covered, even tho I got full comp, bunch of scum bags.

      • I've had a good claims experience with their full comp car insurance as well (about 6 years ago).

They also have that big red price match button (for car only) online.
I was paying $560 a year with SGIC, punched in $280 into the price match section for sh!ts and giggles and it said I would have to call, tried $290 and it accepted it, plus took $50 off. So full comp on a reasonably new SUV for $240 per year/ $450 excess. Happy with that… and someone smacked into my rear quarter last week, so I guess we will see how we go.

        • The only reason I went with them was to price beat budget for my mazda sp25.

They wanted 2200 at the start, price beat with budget 680 as they had an online special. Came to about 590 with Coles.

Made a claim nothing but headaches, once my years up I'll be looking to change.

Whole reason you get insurance is for peace of mind, I didn't get that with Coles at all.

Before that was with allianz, had 2 accidents not at fault, they were the best imo.

Chased up other drivers for money as they didn't admit to fault

Received the following error when I prepared a quote:

Unfortunately, you are not eligible to use the promotion code that you have entered. You can continue to purchase this policy without this promotion or call us if you have further questions.

    • Same, maybe it was a targeted offer to certain flybuys cards

I got email saying 2 months free (2MFREE)…

    I'd guess it's targeted!

  • which provider is better guys?

    • Try SGIC/ NRMA / RACV… always found them competitive. Coles and AAMI on the second tier. Just make sure your valuables away from home are covered equally. That's where they get sneaky.
