  I've always question how people buy glasses online without trying it on to see if it fits. Appreciate any feedback as there's considerable savings buying online vs instore prices.

    I've always questioned (since buying glasses online the first time) how people can spend ridiculous amounts of money on glasses,
    when they can be bought on line for less than 1/10th the price…

    Wife has spent $600 on a single pair (not even photo-chromatic) at normal prices…
    But now spends $30 a pair or so and gets several in case she misplaces or feels like matching some outfit.

    Just measure your current glasses and find something about the same.
    It's not rocket science.

    Get yourself a normal pair a photo-chromatic pair a spare pair and still have enough left over for pizza everyday for a month.

    Glasses are a scam in Australia.

  porkchop… I've used Zenni and Coastal online. These sites usually have a facility where you can upload a picture of yourself and superimpose the specs onto your face.
  I have a very difficult prescription and AU$700 is what Id pay in a shop. Online is US$106 delivered.
  I've bought specs and contact lenses online for years now. you need to get your pd (pupil distance) from the optometrist. It also helps if you measure your current specs frames (measurement is usually on the inside arm).
  They usually have a ridiculously generous returns policy eg 365 days for any reason. .. They get them made overseas… my previous 2 pairs came from Canada and Hong Kong. Quite often free postage and great specials.
  Can take about 3wks to deliver. I've also found the companies that I mentioned easy to contact on the phone, also friendly and helpful.
  I'll look into Firmoo and Googlesforyou… if they're cheaper and if their online reviews are good I'll use them also.
