        What kind?

        • +7

          Games developer

        • @w8: They pay less than $10

    • -1

How did you come up with that?

    • Wow. 20 negs in 30 minutes. Gotta be some kind of record.
      Edit …Reply meant for plant

      • You replied to him ? Also he's got 25 negs and it hasn't even been 30 mins

        • +2

@PLANT: I'm just downvoting you, you're clearly not comprehending much today

        • @PLANT: Sure

        • +13

@PLANT: "…so the more we complain the more likely they will reduce instead of paying these ridiculous prices…"

No, the more you complain, the more people will think that Ozbargain is full of self-entitled whingers.

        • @PLANT:

but was it for newish games? But yeah these should be $10 after a few more years

    • Hahaha. Geez I love your enthusiasm- keep it up!

  • +1

Is this catalogue out yet? Or sneak peak?

    • -7

      I got my catalogue today.

      • +1

I posted a specific deal for the Xbox OneS 1TB deal from that catalogue which seems pretty nice.
Useful for those that don't want an external HDD for their XboxOneS.

        Cheers!

  • Got what I want, but still some great prices

  • If I can get my hands on Lego Dimensions on PS4 for $69, I'll be pretty happy.

  • +15

Weak discounts disappointed. All these games were available at same or lower price before

    • +3

Are you trying to beat Plant lol

    • +19

don't know why people are negging this comment, nothing particularly special here. same as previous sales; in some cases more expensive

      • +6

I agree. So much for boxing day sale.

      • +7

In the land of OzB, all that it takes for multi-negs is just for one person to neg your post. The rest will follow suit with no real reasons rather than for the sake of negging.

        • Much easier to be a sheep than to think independently… unfortunately that's human nature.

  • +16

You literally just ripped all of these images and copied/pasted the text.. Not cool.

    http://press-start.com.au/bargains/2016/12/18/target-saved-b…

    • +7

Every single word from the description has been copy pasted from press start website.

That's just lazy didn't even give credit.

      • +7

Even lied about the fact that he got the catalog today…

      • +3

Reported to Mods, Hopefully they add a link to the original site who took the effort to create this post..

      • +1

        It's there now.

    • +5

Still doesn't change the fact that it's a deal. Neg if its not a deal, not if the user failed to credit sources…

      • -2

        "Negative Vote:

Purpose: To let others know about issues with the deal, merchant or product."

Blatantly stealing IP is clearly an issue.

        • +15

          stealing IP

          Give me a break.

      • +3

He's negging because he runs the press start website so everyone will look at the neg and visit his site.

        • +7

If you spent the time writing up an article, taking pictures and then someone just takes it without even acknowledging your work you would be annoyed wouldn't you?

        • +4

          @doweyy:

Yeah, but not enough to neg a bargain I clearly thought was good enough to write an article about, maybe an angry comment but not a neg.

        • +2

@sss333: Maybe the neg was too harsh. I'm glad that more people get to learn about the bargain and save their money until after Christmas. It was more that they were claiming in the comments that they had received the catalogue early in the post when people were asking how he knew/got their hands on the catalogue.

        • @sss333:

Yeah I can see that in terms of OzBargain the neg might not be warranted, I can see where you're coming from.

        • @shancake: Yeah the OP lying is bad, fair enough your annoyed about that, I'm not sure if that's really a reason for a neg though.

        • @doweyy: imitation is the greatest form of flattery.

    • Not a valid neg but definitely worth a report.

    • Fixed.

      Reminder, cite your sources.

    • +1

The site doesn't own the catalogue, does he really have to give credit because they took photos of it?

  • wish they had controllers for less than $78

  • Most stores won't have stock though and if it's run online from midnight everything of worth will be gone by 12.04am like last time.

    • There is always click and collect.

    • Also you can price match at EB games, which is great

    • +14

In the past. Have you got a time machine to go back and get those lower prices? No. Invalid neg, go and make a deal about the 5c pie and coke you used to buy

  • Infinite Warfare for $45 not such a shabby price.

    • Guess you missed the $35 JB deal?

  • It will start before boxing day, I guarantee it.

  • +3

So much hate and anger. It's nearly Christmas, smile and be happy.

    • +11

"… It's nearly Christmas, smile and be happy…"

Possibly one of the reasons there's so much hate and anger :D

Christmas tends bring out the shitness in humanity :D Not me, I love it. But some people? Not so much.

    • well they don't call it the silly season for nothing……

      Merry Christmas my fellow Ozbargainer

  • +5

Agreed, disappointing boxing day sales. ~40 isn't a mega bargain like boxing day is meant to bring. Thanks OP. But I'll pass.

    • +1

Boxing day the last few years hasn't been great. Still, these prices are half decent for the moment

      • +2

Yea it's been pretty mediocre at best. I barely ever get excited about boxing day now.

    • +3

Yes I am also disappointed in their Gaming sale. The sale a few weeks back was more like a Boxing day sale

      • Yup was thinking much the same, I guess maybe those prices spoiled us for boxing day. Kind of strange really how games like Titanfall 2 were actually cheaper on black Friday. Oh well we still have new year sales to look forward to.

  • Got the ones I already wanted from first gaming sale. But I guess good for the people who missed out

  • +2

Don't understand the negs, a simple report would suffice for the plagiarism. Nowhere in the voting guidelines does it state that a lack of referencing is sufficient grounds for a neg. Sure, it was sneaky of OP to try and take the credit, but they're deals nonetheless.

    • Agree. Also don't understand why people are bagging out the deal. If they are the lowest current prices, it's a deal. What price they were in the past doesn't really matter.

    • +1

Once one person negs the deal, all the sheep start following

    • If you neg a post and it gets deleted ozbargain gives you money

  • No mans sky worth picking up for $39? been waiting for a price drop. Also when is uncharted 4 going to get below $49 ?

    • +2

Mate, have you read a review of No mans sky? Most over hyped and under-delivered game ever. I wouldn't get it.

      • yep garbage …..its a pitty when announced it was looking like a hit but so was watchdogs

    • It's had a new update such a lot of people have enjoyed. If you like random exploring and simple base building, maybe. I still think it's a bit dull but definitely improved since launch.

  • I wish I could get Final Fantasy XV for $64 before the long weekend. Missed out on the launch day discount at JB Hi-fi due to work and have been waiting for a price drop since.

    • EB Games recognised it was a Boxing Day catalogue so I priced matched it at JB Hi-fi instead!

  • Anyone know if EB Games has an extended Christmas return policy? I got a game 2 weeks ago that i would return and get it from target on boxing day if i can return it.

    • yeah till jan 15

      • even if its already been played?

        • yeah one good thing about EB, you can try before you buy

        • @xcess: Thanks

        • Just get it priced matched at EB

  • wouldnt mind seeing the whole catalogue - when will this be available?

Good deal though.. wish the missus would let me game! :)

  • For any Costco members, you can get a lot of the same, or better, prices right now :D

  • COD IW is barely 1 months old and it's already at 50%, good to see gamers around the world finally man up to confront Activision.

    • Not really, IW just bombed. I don't play cod myself but even I know the Black Ops series is the real crown jewel, if it were a new instalment in that series, I doubt cod would have dropped so low. IW is just another ghosts, maybe not as bad.

  • download codes or cdS?

    • All physical media.

    • +1

      Cassettes.

      • Punch cards?

  • Ordered titanfall 2 for $39 online coz none of the target around me have them in stock.
Still waiting for their sms so I can pick it up.

    Now it's $37.. wtf.

  • Still can't believe they are charging so much for the last guardian, absolutely ridiculous

    • +2

      New game

        • +4

LOL are you new to gaming? These are fairly regular prices for games in Australia, sale in tow. Plus The last Guardian has been one of the most anticipated titles of the last few years, and it's an exclusive. It's also done really well in the reviews. All that adds up to being expensive.

        • +2

Why do you say that? It's gotten pretty good reviews

        • -7

@Zylam Marex: It's a 6 hour 2006-era game with no replayability and no multiplayer that would be more suitable as a $20 downloadable game. I know how much games are. What im saying is TLG is not worth the price of an AAA game. I'm not new to gaming, i've been gaming since Alley Cat (which btw is a much better game). Do you watch Kinda Funny? Even Colin couldn't believe they were charging full price for this.

Also, on it being a new game, well, that's up for debate really, isn't it? I see it as more of a 10 year old game and it shows and from all reports controls accordingly.
