I was just comparing our price with the other marketplaces, seems to be cheaper to go through Brazil. (51.59 BRL - $21.44 AUD)
As the game is region-free, I doubt you'd even have to switch regions to download it as it should just appear in your 'ready to install' after buying it.

That being said, it's nice to see our marketplace not outrageously overpriced for once.

    • Good find.

How would I buy it from the Brazil Marketplace? Also, good find.

I'm just working on that purchase now, some stores allow you to directly purchase via card or PayPal, and others you have to acquire gift-cards from the region first.

EDIT: Can't use CC to buy directly, so it's best to grab gift-cards from the Microsoft Store Brazil. If you need a step-by-step guide: http://www.xbox-now.com/help#buy

    • How do you go about buying 51.59 BRL ? Their website only sells in denominations of 30 BRL, 50 BRL or 100 BRL. You'll end up having to buy 80 BRL to buy Destiny The Collection. Wouldn't that make it more expensive?

      • Yup, I noticed that too. I ended up buying 100 BRL because there are a few other games on sale cheaper in Brazil this time around. Cheapest way to do it would be two 30 BRL if Destiny was all you're after, or by using the website above, finding another region that accepts gift-cards and sells them in smaller/correct denominations.

R$100,00 foi(ram) adicionados à sua conta da Microsoft.
        Seu novo saldo é R$100,00.

I've added the credit and purchased the collection, I'll just jump-start the xbox and see if it's possible to download without having to switch regions. (Not hard to do, just easier if you can avoid it.)

EDIT: Yup, no need to switch region, it was already downloading. (Careful if you have it installed already on an external drive, it queues a redownload of the entire game again.)

The link to the Brazil Microsoft Store: https://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msbr/pt_BR/cat/category…
You might want to use Chrome for the auto-translation, but it is possible to wing it. When redeeming the code, you may receive a message about it being the wrong region and a prompt to switch in order to use the code; it's nothing to worry about. Use the step-by-step guide above if you get stuck!

        • Hi

While purchasing 30 BRL, after enter credit card info, it ask for address… It don't match with Australia address format (e.g State can't change and Post code too short). Can I just enter any fake address?

        • +1

@songjing: Yeah, for buying from the overseas stores you need to use a local address in the region. The one I used was the Brazilian Australian Embassy. (St. de Embaixadas Sul 801 - Brasilia, Federal District, 70200-010, Brazil)

I did it without translating and found a home for all the address lines, the Federal District was in a dropdown box, and Brazil was autoselected, so aside from those you should just be able to chuck those details in for the purchase.

      • If there's a 30 BRL option then you could get 60BRL instead of 80BRL by grabbing two 30 lots.

        • Oops sorry for the double post

  • Manage to snag this from Target for 15, it was on clearance, BigW had the Destiny without expansions for 10.. its was a rare find in the clearance bins.

  • how is it that the rise of iron upgrade is 55 but the whole collection is 38? go figure? Greediest gaming franchise in history, no wonder lot of people have gone off destiny

  • Good price for the collection, but is there any chance they will remove features with future updates as they did with the release of the Destiny King?

    • +1

There isn't talk of any major DLC content coming for the next year as Bungie gear up to release Destiny 2. Rumour has it that 2 will be out late 2017. From previous DLC drops, they don't so much as remove content, they just severely restrict your access (read: lock you out) to content. They don't have seperate lists for each level of DLC, so some people will get locked out. That being said, $35 for everything Destiny up to this point is a lot of content. Vanilla Destiny + 4 DLC add ons will take you a while to churn through.

But to answer your question, is there a chance, yes, based on previous Destiny content releases.

  • I'd love to go back to the beginning with 5 mates and do it all over again.

  • Great price plenty of content, good find OP

Bugger it is back up to $60.27 now on the website. Game over man, game over.

It seems only the Australian store price has risen. If you're still after it, the Brazil method above will still net it cheaply.

      • +1

i think they have all risen
