    • I stand corrected, however delivery to WA is $999.

      • My bad. Seems like they haven't considered all postcodes and just put that $999 disclaimer delivery cost.

      • $2495 here I think they have store in WA

        • +1

JB Hi-Fi also offer a 2.5 year voluntary warranty (including 1 year manufacturers warranty) on TV's over $2000. Extended warranties are also available. This may be of interest to potential buyers.

        • @hypie: Fair enough for extra warranty. Kambos are claiming standard warranty to be 1 year, shouldn't it be 2 years including one year warranty from ACCC?

        • @Jimmy007:

The standard manufacturers warranty offered by Samsung is 1 year. I can only go by what JB Hi-Fi have in the “Refunds & Warranties, Understanding Your Rights” Brochure

        • @hypie:
I'd imagine that for two and a half grand, the ACCC would come to the party within a 10 year period myself….

          @terrys:

I would hope so too, since I have a UA65KS9000.

        • +1

@hypie: It shouldn't be a problem tho - Samsung will either last for ever, or take out the house …
          [runs way very fast].

    • Delete or adjust the main item?

      • +1

I think look around the latest posts, and make one of the other items that hasn't been posted yet as your title, maybe?

PS: I don't think anyone posted about the Surface Pro & the Sonos player as of now.

        • Adjusted.

  • Hi hypie, how to get extended warranty online for that tv and what is the standard warranty (I heard its 2 yrs if i buy at JB)

    • +2

Hi Mckenzie, Samsung Australia provides a 1 year manufacturers warranty on the TV, in addition JB Hi-Fi will provide an additional 1.5 years of voluntary warranty to Australian customers. This brings the total cover to 2.5 years. Reference

I will investigate, however the extended warranty can always be added within the first 14 days of purchase. (As I understand)

JB Hi-Fi will provide an additional 1.5 years of voluntary warranty to Australian customers.

Not really voluntary as for a TV of this price range it's Australian Consumer Law.

        • +3

I agree completely, however Australian Consumer Law can be a little vague in some cases. I believe a clear cut company policy, can assist with reducing consumers concerns.

        • @hypie: It can, and your company scores the best out of all the major retailers on training and staff knowledge, but Choice, consumer associations and the like have decided that charging for such reduction of concerns after raising them isn't quite within the spirit of the law, and the tribunals and courts have agreed that it also isn't quite within the letter either. This years survey of stores attitudes and knowledge is here:

  • Great price on the 55" Samsung. Wouldn't mind one in the study connected to the Pc… Anyone think of reasons why I shouldn't? Help me out :)

  • +1

Probably start avoiding Samsung for their warranty practice. Soniq costs a third but has three years warranty…

  • The SP4 M3 (excl pen) is same price as before Christmas ($999 with 10% off) EXCEPT that now there's a free Telstra 4gx wifi hotspot if that's worth anything.

(if inbuilt connectivity was important though, you'd probably look more at the Samsung TabPro S or something with inbuilt LTE).

    • I was under the impression that this model was excluded from the previous 10% off?

  • Is the gift of Sonos deal still going ? whereby you get $50 of all Sonos items ?

    • No, that promotion finished.

      • Actually I have been going through the JB website and the promotion goes through to 31Dec or while stocks last

        • Interesting, I thought it had finished. My apologies. This promotion must override that deal (in relation to the sub and soundbar).

  • Is there a seperate boxing day sale tomorrow?

    • I would love to know this too if not sucks as previous month there has been extra 10% and 5% off on top of 20% blu rays.
Which at the time could not take advantage of now that i can dont see any extra offered just the 20% off.
