  • Whats the difference between this and the other 27 inch monitor by LG posted

    • This has VESA mount and a 9mm bezel.

  • Amazon reviews are generally favourable. They note that the settings need some tweaking ("Vivid pixel" is not something people seem to like and mention of turning it off). Speakers are weak apparently. Picture doesn't go all the way to the bezel but bright and sharp.

    https://www.amazon.com/VC279H-Widescreen-Backlight-Monitor-B…

  • This was on sale at Shopping Express for $219 about 3 weeks ago with the Asus $20 promotion. Also the screen comes defaulted with Vivid Pixel on 25%. You'll notice the screen will look distorted especially in Windows 10. Set Vivid Pixel to 0% to fix this.

  • Vivid Pixel shouldn't be a thing. Who at ASUS looked at it and thought 'yeah, making things green and fuzzy is a thing we needed to do'?

That said the monitor is okay for the price.

  • Should I get this or wait for a $219 Dell U2414H?

    • I would go for the 27 inch myself

    • I'm also waiting for u2414h.. Very tempting…

  • how is this compared to lg 27 ips fhd deal posted earlier on ozbargain

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/284218

not a gamer but more of web browser, multimedia user, office 365 & read pdf, study & search. asus has eye care mode for longevity and lg one has split screen. usually i prefer my surface tablet but this price is tempting.

    • I would have thought for productivity it would be more desirable to have a higher res if you were jumping to a 27"?

  • saw videos on YouTube that this panel has bleeding issues
