  Considering it means additions to credit rating, not worth it for $70 in my opinion. However it may seem attractive to someone without an AMEX.

  Definitely not worth it. You will basically break even with the points (i think you may still be a few $'s short). I've been with Bankwest for nearly 3 years. Claiming all my points and cancelling my account and moving to Coles. They have changed a lot of their points redemptions, and coles are heaps better. Still a good card, and have used overseas a lot, just not as good in terms of points when compared to Coles IMO.

  First year not waived + You don't even get the annual fee worth of points. Tough.
