Currently on back order but still worth it because rumours are DDR3 price is going upwards from here as demand drops due to rise in demand for DDR4

  • Did DDR3 get more expensive or something?

    • There is currently a fairly large supply of Desktop DDR3, so it is unlikely to rise in the short term. an 8GB stick of DDR3 still costs the same as DDR4.

The only people who are buying DDR3 memory are system builders, as OEM's have completely switched to using either DDR3L memory or DDR4, since they don't build Haswell computer's anymore.

Over the long term, once the shop's inventories have drained of DDR3 stock, that's when you will expect to see major price hikes in DDR3 memory.

    • It did. This deal's an opportunity to buy at a price close to what it was several months ago.

Yeah went into msy ….. Couldn't get matched ddr3 they just had individual sticks due to shrinking demand as new boards are ddr4.

@KillerkratZ : All DDR prices are just going up because of increasing demand as China gov had a policy shift this year and is doing a big expansion into the data center sectors suddenly pushing up data center orders.
