Wow thanks for the support guys, really made my day.

Let's just say a certain person is leaving and taking everything she can with her.

I guess the positive is I get to hang around ozbargain to shop for a whole bunch of new stuff now.

I am one with the force, the force is with me lol

        • Sounds like you've got 99 problems, but soon…

        • +1

Did she pay for the TV? If not, tell her to wrack off. Stand up for yourself, you can do this!!! :)

    • The photo says till 2nd Jan but they had prices changed (up) before the sale end date in the past .

    • May the force be with you.

  • what does it mean by "costco warranty"?

    • From what I remember Costco have a lifetime warranty as long as you retain your membership

      • Sound too good to be true! Must be some terms and conditions…

      • oh … didnt know that … is it written on the membership form? Dont remember seeing it

      What is your refund policy?

On Merchandise: We guarantee your satisfaction on every product we sell, and will refund your purchase price. This is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

      • +2

So many people start abusing their policy, I have seen one @ Casula. Last time a guy returned Led tv (65") after heavily used look like. Another facebook post has shown a lady waiting to return a Christmas tree.

this is the reason we can't have nice things in general. because its some ingrate who think its their given right to do as they please that ruins it for everyone else.

        • -1

@xoom: How dare those ingrates exercise the full extent of the service they pay for! They should just pay for it and not use it the bastards!

        • @Diji1: big difference between just using and abusing. If the product is faulty and its within reasonable timeframe. Then sure use the refund policy. However if one got full use of a product and its simply too old but still works. We are talking many years of use. Taking it back to costco to refund so they can get something else with the refunded money. Then rinse repeat. I can see why costco wants to change and tighten this refund policy.

  • How does it compare to X8500D? Any difference in PQ for upscaled blu ray movies?

    • +3

      Night and Day
Especially if you only turn one on

    • I prefer the 750D for PQ, they are direct led backlighting vs the edge lighting on the 850D

  • +2

Not as cheap as when they had it for $1549 just before thanksgiving, but it's still a good price.

    • Correct, that was $150 cheaper than this deal.

  • Everyone seems to have this TV on special at the moment. Currently building an extension which should be ready for a TV in a month. This seems to be a great deal but the ozbarginer in me is wondering if this TV is on runout or changing RRP. Hmmmm

    • -2

      It's a dodgy panel
Do your research and wait for run-out sale in April on the x8500d or wait a year or two for better Sony tvs

      • Not everyone is bumming it out on the beach so they may need the enjoyment of the tv now ;)

  • +1

IPS Panel? I saw this in store and I was not impressed with the PQ…FTA TV looked worse than a 1080p TV next to it.

  • Anyone able to get those greedy retailers to price match?

    • Try it and report back

  • X7500D? Even if this was X8000 series, it would not be a bargain either. There is a good reason why Sony uses VA panels for their high end X9000 series TV instead of IPS.

  • Is the X8500D for $2299 at Sony Store any good? People here are saying X7500D not so good, but I'm having trouble finding online reviews.

    • X8500D is better and I waiting for the 75" X8500D to drop down to 3K.

  • Just interested to know if Costco has 65 inch samsung SUHD tvs on sales now. Thanks

    • I was at docklands costco on new years day and they didn't stock any of the Samsung series 8000 only the 6000's.
