  • Can confirm that I seen this in Bundaberg, QLD.

Saw these yesterday also in SA. They had some $10 alarm clocks as well from this same home brand, down from $20.

  • Do the lights have any effects options?

    • +1

Yes.. gradually move from middle to outside or light up to the beat.

      • You mean pulsating or like an equaliser?

        • Equaliser

      • That's pretty neat, will try my luck to get one today.

  • Got one for our daughter at Xmas and from what I have seen, it's pretty good for the money. Especially at this cheaper price.
She's had it going in her room for hours a day since last weekend and it's still going strong.

After using it for a few minutes I think it's a fantastic piece of kit. I really dig the LED effects and the size being small.

I'll be picking up a fair few more to sort out gifts for the next year.

    • The reason i want to get a few also.

    • Can you turn the leds off?

      • +1

What? And ruin the sound signature?

        /sarcasm

      • +1

Yes, there's 3 options for them. The first is a fixed pattern, the second is a sort of equaliser visualisation and the third is no lights on at all.

        • thanks..

  • Will be nationwide, part of the Christmas 2016 range; which is all half price.

  • kmart blacktown. none in the shelves. plenty at kmart parramatta inside westfields. took 5. pressies for relatives overseas.

    • No more @ Parra when I went on Sunday. Heaps left @ Stan Hope today.

Comparing these to my $7.50 one from Woolies and $11 Logitech X100 from TGG:

      • The Woolies one is the loudest and bassiest.
      • The Logitech is a close second, even though it's half the size (and hence quite portable). Do note that it is only mono, the other 2 are stereo (not that it really matters with these kind of small portable speakers).
      • The Kmart one is a distant third with very weak bass and quite pronounced mids (sounds like AM radio tbh). Funky lights are funky though and it does have USB/mSD card playback (untested).

      Mic quality was untested.
