110

Got emailed for Windscribe VPN's New Year's sale. They're offering 20 months of Pro service for US$17.

20$17, you get it…? Alright fine, moving on.

That works out to be US$0.85 (~AU$1.18) per month for unlimited devices and downloads.

Sale ends 6/1/2017 US time, approx 7/1/2017 AU time.

Happy New Year to all on OzB! :)

any feedback for support and speed?

No personal experience that I can comment on, but here's one detailed review that may help a bit.

FWIW, at this price it is probably worth giving a try although you should always ensure you play it safe regardless until you're sure of it's security (eg. DNS & IPv6 address leaks), support and of course performance.

FYI there's also a lifetime plan available via Stacksocial for the next four days that some may wish to consider. It's $49 US but you can also get a 10% off coupon for signing up to their newsletter, works out about $62AUD at the moment after the discount.

Seems to have decent reviews, I've also just tried the Android client and it seems to work very well.

This lifetime deal does seem to come up quite often however, and there's no guarantees on these lifetime deals but this provider to me seems pretty well established and committed compared to the other pop-up VPN providers that are likely to take your money and run shortly after.

  • any idea about the speeds and performance ? does it support android tv setup as I have tried with PIA for android tv but couldn't choose any server (it automatically connects to random server location). Also I had to sideload the apk manually.

    • Tested my connection with Speedtest and from the Aus, NZ and USA Windscribe servers getting just over 30mbps. Usually get 80mbps+ without a VPN.
