Eggs can easily go another week or more past date. Just test them in a cup of water. They ought to either sink right to the bottom or float nearly to the top.
Bad eggs float really high out of the water & make no attempt to sink.
I take the "still okay" non-sinkers & make egg salad or deviled eggs. The good ones we fry or scramble, etc…the rest go carefully into a plastic bag & very gently lowered into the bin outside- lol.
