I'm always looking for local co-op games I can play with my kid on our Xbox One. There aren't too many around. I hope this is good.

    It looks like their normal price. Has it been reduced?

    • +1

      Used to be 25 pounds to preorder at a lot of UK sites, currently works out to about $31 on Base http://www.base.com/fsearch.htm?search=lego+worlds

      • So why is this a bargain then?

        • I've only compared the price against local retailers. I didn't compare it against UK retailers. Should I remove this post?

          @xtremehuzzah:

          Who with the exception of EB Games did you compare to?

        • +2

          @xtremehuzzah: Ignore jv. He feels he has to insert his (mostly unwanted) opinion in just about every thread. He could have just been constructive and said what price he has seen it for but that isn't his style, not critical enough.

          $59 at JB so this is decent deal.

          One note though. It is cheaper to pre order on steam at the moment.

          I bought it and most the other lego games on steam much cheaper than available on console and grabbed a steam link from EB so they can be played on the tv with the xbox controllers. The lego games are great for co-op with the kids, this is more like minecraft though which is also decent fun.

        • @Duff5000: Thanks for the tip Duff5000! I've always thought steam was for PC games only. I've never heard of a steam box before. I'll definitely look into that now!
          Our family loves the Lego TT games and Minecraft, so I'm hoping this will be a hit too.

          @xtremehuzzah: I should have said Steam Link in my last post. (fixed now)

          Here it is at JB https://ebgames.com.au/pc-222649-Steam-Link-PC

          A couple of deals have been posted on here for it also.

          @Duff5000:

          OzGameShop is a UK distributor as well so it's a fair to compare to others like Base.com, ShopTo, TheGameCollection etc. It's cheaper at Base.com (around $30.50 AUD), can't seem to find it cheaper anywhere else though.

          @xtremehuzzah: no need to need to remove the post, the comments are great for discussion and bringing to light better prices/deals even if it's not the cheapest :-)

          I've got it on my Base.com wishlist, will wait for a price drop!

        • @Duff5000:

          "Ignore jv"

          And with that, he's gone.

  • sell me on this game over other lego games - its cheap enough for starters :)

  • Steam is for PC and I prefer steam games as they are cheaper BUT with kids, and 2 controllers and if you have an Xbox , this seems ideal ….Not many kids games Eg under 12yr old for Xbox. Had to buy Skylanders as visiting parents weren't impressed with halo or gears of war when the kids were playing.

    That is one thing Nintendo had ….Kids games ….

    • I was surprised how few kids games there were for the xb1 as well. Bought the kids one for Christmas and have struggled to find many games for them to play.
      Disney infinity games are decent as well.

      The newer xbox 1s controllers work with the Steam Link wirelessly via bluetooth so I have set Steam Link and xbox 1 up on the same TV.

  • Will be great.
