Wow that's surprisingly good value for Maccas. It's a bit like they're trying to compete with HJ's stunner deals, though I guess this is just a promo.
Suspect this deal is only available in Qld (and apparently WA) because these states have historically strong Hungry Jacks / Burger King presence and in Qld at least have 5 for $5.95 Summer stunner deal. McDonalds always meet competition head on (eg $1.00 frozen Cokes started at Hungry Jacks)
So I just called McDonalds head office VIC (Collingwood, 03 9416 3298) on behalf oz OzB (I've contacted a few times to confirm deals).
Official word is "No, this is NOT available in Victoria; the only 'cheap' promotion we have at the moment is a $2 McFlurry, so maybe only store/state specific.
Heard about this originally from a Qld employee. I saw this advertised during Cricket on Channel 9 Qld - so it's available in Qld at least …

NSW starting today has the Deal For a cheeseburger and a large frozen coke for $3 atm.
Cheeseburger is usually about $2 right? And frozen cokes are $1.

Hamburger is $2 at the moment. So with the $3 cheeseburger deal you're effectively getting a free slice of cheese.

Alternatively you could practice proper parenting and teach the child impulse control …. Wrapping them in cotton wool and going out of your way to only feed them "healthy snacks" will likely have opposite effect of what you're hoping.
Whatever you do, the little freeloaders will be a disappointment- that's why I recommend keeping them locked up in the basement, fed only on bread & water until they're of working age and can contribute to the household.
Our rebel strategy for the kids was to ban Coke and when they were old enough they the kids snuck a coke or two. LOL worked for us .
