$100 is a big ask for me.
This is not much saving as you can easily get 10% off gift card and don't have to spend $100 in 1 go.

Gift cards are usually 5% off, where can you buy them at 10% off?

    • +3

Unless you take that saved 5$, and fill up petrol. Assuming you fill up a 50 L tank, at 1.20$ / Litre (60$ to fill up), Minus the 5$ you saved shopping, = 55$ (1.10$ / litre) which is a 10 cent saving per litre!

      =o

unless you already get the paper, and you already shop at coles. Then the effort required is f… all, so definately worth it.

did you ever consider that coles actually sells the newspapers? and the daily telegraph is $1. if you really didn't want to waste the fuel to drive to coles you could always walk. this is ozbargain after all.

Does it mean, when I buy 100 newspapers at coles, I'm getting 10 one for free basically??? That's pretty awesome.
Oh damn.. forgot about the petrol again. :(

What a stupid reason to neg. Your maths skills and common sense is non existent.

    • +4

You're being to harsh on this. It's a good deal worthy to share. Not everyone stays at home like you do, worrying about petrol/travelling costs.

lol! And whatabout the petrol to get to coles? And the coffee in the morning to get you going? And breakkie… etc etc… Thanks god the air we breathe is free. LOL No reason to neg, mate, really, come on.

Anyone knows if this is available in Qld anywhere by any chance? =) fingers crossed I have access to discounted Coles giftcard purchases with the Entertainment Book, and someone mentioned you can use this with the gift cards..that'd be soo awesome…

  • i know this was available in Qld last time but wish to know if its available this week end too? will they accept a printed copy or does it need to be the original from the newspaper? which Entertainment Book offers discounted Coles giftcard purchases and how much does it cost to buy this book? can you use the $10 off voucher if you buy gift cards? i think i remember reading in the fine print last time buying gift cards didn't qualify towards the $100 purchase amount needed.?

    • If you have an entertainment book, you can log into their website and order Coles giftcards whenever and wherever you want to. Registered Post is included for free. The Coles giftcards are basically 5% off. (So, $95 for a $100 card, $190 for a $200 card, and so forth). The website is: http://www.entertainmentbook.com.au.

  • I have CGU insurance and they provide you with a free Presidental card where you can also buy the discount coles/woolies etc cards.
I buy almost 90% of my stuff using prepaid $500 cards which cost me $475
