Haven't seen a V6 cord free this cheap before. The slim versions go for this price, but the normal cord free are usually $100 dearer.

These have been cheaper, and on many occasions. and now there's a newer version with an improved battery life instead of just lasting 10 minutes.What's the name of the model with the longer lasting battery?

I had the precursor to the V6, the DC59 Animal which my parents now how. Had it for over 5 years and the run time was over 16 mins after that long. They give 2 year warranty so if it's not doing what it claims then take it back for a new battery.

The big difference between these and their competitors, for example Bosch claims up to 75 minute runtime. Use one in store on minimum while it will run for 75 mins there is literally not enough suction to move dust and the brush doesn't spin.
The 20 min runtime from Dyson will pick up most messes, max is there if required.
