How is the quality of this band compared to the AliExpress one?

    • +1

Hi There, Simon from OzStraps here!

I can't comment on the quality of the AliExpress band as I haven't had any experience with them (the quality of these bands differs significantly online). However, we are confident in the quality of our straps. Furthermore, if you have any issues local support is available - simply shoot us an email and we will sort out any issues out for you :)

      Cheers,
      Simon

No reason to expect that the more expensive one is any better. They're likely sourced from similar makers.

      • +1

As per our previous deal, we have trialled various bands from similar makers i.e. Hoco, iStrap, FOHUAS, generic

Our results of actually testing day-to-day usage showed significant wear and tear on some items such as colour fade, magnetic issues, adapter issues and high costs before landing on one (in this case iStrap) that had a balance that we could support directly and confidently sell.

Our products are more expensive than Aliexpress however we offer easy returns, warranty, express shipping and most importantly a high level of customer service :)

We are also always open to any feedback or product requests!

      Form your own conclusions. :)

        Hi!

We have taken feedback from our previous sale and are working on taking real photos of our product rather than using standard product photography (which to be honest all look very similar!). Keep a lookout for a revamp of the product images on our site in the coming weeks!

In the meantime, here are some examples (also found on their individual product pages):
        Milanese Loop (black) - http://i.imgur.com/V5rkGsC.jpg
        Sports (Black/Green) - http://i.imgur.com/QVLywuV.jpg
        Stainless Steel (black) - http://i.imgur.com/AOgDjOL.jpg
        Stainless Steel (silver) - http://i.imgur.com/w23eSKY.jpg

We will take more detailed shots to replace as many standard photos in the coming weeks! :)

My point is your "standard product photography" == AliExpress Wholesalers' Galore photography which suggests they are the one and the same product…

Not a criticism, just a mere observation. People can decide for themselves whether a 2-3x markup in price is worth the product shipping from Australia and any applicable "warranty/support".

    • I can only comment on the $13 AliExpress one. I've been wearing my black Milanese copy for about a month. It's been my favourite band and haven't changed it. It's light, airy, and doesn't take up much room in the pocket. In fact maybe the magnet might be a tad strong, but it's been great. Looks probably better than the silver one with the matt Aluminium Watch Sport.

  • are there any real life pictures of the straps that are sent to us?
I am really interested in the Nike straps because we cannot buy them separately at the Apple store but if they are obviously fake looking then I would be disappointed..

    • If you end up buying one can you please be a guinea pig and let me know if it feels like the real deal?

      • +2

It's awesome and worth a buy.

  • +3

A picture of the actual product can be found here. Hopefully this helps!

  • I checked a few apple watch bands - do you have stock of 42mm black milanese loops or the black/green Nike straps at all? (or will you get stock of them while this promotion is running?)

    • Definitely :) if anything is out of stock shoot us a message and we will make sure you get one when stock arrives.

  • do you have the black/grey sports band 42mm op? would love to get one

    • Unfortunately we ran out of stock! However we will hopefully get a new shipment in by next week. The promo is active til the end of month :)

  • Ordered a white Nike sports band 42mm and the chainlink! Very curious as to quality.

  • +2

I find it disappointing that your leather bands under the Apple Watch banner need an adapter.

In my opinion if they are under the Apple Watch banner they should include everything to make them work with an Apple Watch!

    • +1

Hi! We appreciate your feedback and you make a good point!

We will get this changed by either automatically bundling or providing a leather range that already has a built in adapter

      • Cheers. If that happens I might by the leather band.

  • +2

Wow. Talk about speed. I'm not disappointed by quality either. I purchased the Milanese loop and it's not bad at all! There's a couple minor imperfections upon close inspection (but what can you expect for such a price opposed to Apple). Knowing I can have watch bands delivered so quickly and with pretty decent quality from an Aussie company, I'd be more than happy to pay the premium. Even if they're available from Ali express for cheaper - I'd rather pay a little more and have the guarantee from an Aussie company.

    • If you live in Victoria it's almost next day delivery (or two days). They post out of Carnegie, Vic.

      • +1

Yeah, mine was sent out the same day I ordered it (Monday morning) and arrived Wednesday morning! I'm outside the express network as well (semi-rural NSW). I'm impressed.

  • Could you explain the process if a band is faulty? Do you cover return postage costs? Cheers.

    • +1

Should you have any issues feel free to contact us via email at [email protected] and we will sort it out for you :)

    • +1

I've had an issue where the spring bars were not included with my NATO strap. There was a comment on the deal that they had run out but I missed it. They've been very responsive and have sent another set out to me. I'm very impressed with their after sales service.

    • Thanks op, just bought the black/grey sports band. hopefully the quality is good.

    • Thanks also OP, just order silver/white sports band in 42mm. Looking forward to using it :)

  • Has anyone tried the woven nylon bands and can comment on how they compare to official apple ones?

  • Hello Rep can I ask which service you use to post?
I would like to send it to a parcel collection point so I would like to know if you send via auspost :)

    • Pretty sure it's AusPost.

      • Yep, we send via AusPost! apologies for the delay in response.

    • Confirmed above.

      • Thanks all :)

  • Do you have any longer bands? It seems that Apple have stopped stocking their L/XL sports bands and none of the standard bands will fit my wrist (approx 220mm) :(

    • +1

Hi There, our 42mm straps come with longer bands but I do believe these are equivalent of the M/L Apple style. You're welcome to make an order and return it to us if it doesn't fit!

      • +1

If it's equivalent to the M/L it definitely won't fit. It would be good if you could put the lengths on the website though :) Cheers

      • I got an email saying the offer has been extended, until when?

        • We have decided to extend the promotion for another month! until 28/02/2017 :)

We have now introduced wooden style as well as classic stainless bands. A few customers were asking for a stainless band that could be offered at a lower price than the original one we had in the collection so we have tried our best to find a suitable offering.

          Regards,
          Simon

        • @Simonnn: Nice work!

If you report the deal you can get the expiry set properly. I reported it to get it unexpired so I can't report it again…

        • +1

          @sween64:

I have just submitted a report, cheers!

  • Hi I really like the leather series but I don't understand why the size is 22k or 24mm?

    • Hi There!

a 22mm band width is suitable for the 38mm Apple Watch and the 24mm width is suitable for the 42mm Apple Watch.

Hopefully this clarifies it a bit, I know it can be a bit confusing :)

      Regards,
      Simon

      • So both come with its own adapter? So I only need to choose the color?

        • If you purchase the item under the Apple Watch collection it will come included with an Apple Watch adapter :)

        • @Simonnn: I'm not sure what you mean here, I just got the watch from my gf as a gift, all I know it's a 42mm apple watch 2….I simply want to change the strap to a leather one. I don't know what else I need except the strap itself

        • @ltq19900310: If you purchase any of the straps in the Apple Watch Collection they will arrive ready to be swapped onto your Apple Watch!

        • @Simonnn: ordered, many thanks, can't wait to wear it!

        • @Simonnn: the express post though…not really express….I put my normal parcel collect post office address on my order… delivered to another post office, now I can't get it until next Monday. Not really impressed

        • @ltq19900310:

          Hi There,

Your item was shipped out the next morning after the order was made. It was shipped to your nominated shipping address you checked out with via express post. It then arrived at your address on the next day, however it looks like there was an issue during transit with shipping this item to your parcel collect service and Australia Post has therefore redirected it to the closest Post Office.

In any case feel free to contact us directly should you have any issues and we will do our best to sort it out for you.

          Simon

        • @Simonnn: my order number is #1423, the shipping address is the parcel collect address I normally use without any hassles before, however the auspost tracking page has no other tracking log except"awaiting collection"" at another post office which is very inconvenient for me to pick up. I'm not sure if you guys made the mistake on my shipping address or the delivery driver too lazy to drop it off at the address I provided…
