EVGA GTX 1060 3GB SC Gaming Graphics Card $270 @ Shopping Express

210

Sorry for the late post.. only a bit under 6 hours left.

Great card at the cheapest price.

A quick look on StaticIce indicates that MWave is the next cheapest at $319 (pick-up). This is the Superclocked version.

If you Google the card you'll find that it consistently is given around 4/5 stars for reviews and the chipset itself is well regarded.

It's a good price point for a good card. If you're really hardcore into your gaming you can look at the 1070 or 1080 cards from nVidia. Not familiar anymore with the ATI offerings so can't add anything there :)

  • Bought the Gigabyte version for $1.20 more a few days back with code CSUNNY20, think it's still valid, any idea which card is better?;

    • I had a quick not overly comprehensive look at some reviews for both cards and the EVGA card got slightly higher OCs than the gigabyte one.
      The gigabyte's cooler is bigger but it only has one heatpipe vs 2 on the evga cooler it seems.
      Still the 1060s aren't stellar overclockers you're not missing out on much as the performance improvements would likely be only single digit percentages.

      Not sure if this is the exact model for the Gigabyte but it looks like it's slightly better than the EVGA

      I'd still get the EVGA as i prefer the lower profile and performance is good enough for what I need it for :)

      EDIT: just noticed that the link I originally posted is comparing the 6GB versions of both cards… they put a space between 3 and GB so it didn't show up first go…

      GPUBoss GIGABYTE 1060 3GB vs EVGA 1060 3GB

      These results are too varied from the first results for me to trust now :(
