          @jezza p: I just managed to get a code by following the OP link. Unsure if it's because I'm from WA.
          EDIT: whoops sorry. I just sent a 15% off surface code to someone. Deal is well and truly expired.
          There's a chance though that if anyone has an unused code from before the deal expired, it will still work on the Microsoft site.

          Thanks for your effort. At the end of the day I only have myself to blame. Procrastinated when there was stock available and plenty of codes from people. Then when there was a code available had a stuff up with Amex which meant someone else used the code instead.

          Not sure if it'll ever get this cheap.

    On Sunday I contacted Microsoft via online chat and asked about the stock availability and I was told stock will replenish sometime this week or they will remove the product from their webpage but no sure when. After a few minutes of chatting and canvasing long story short, I asked sales person to email me the price $399 so I can use the quote to buy from nearby retailer. She put me on hold for 10min and came back asking my email address and in 1 min I received an email quoting the price $399 from Microsoft. Next day (Monday) I contacted nearest JB for stock availability, I went in showed them the price from Microsoft, sales person almost had a heart attack seeing the price, he went and spoke to the manager came back, DONE DEAL!!!! the most easiest price match transaction I ever had.

    I feel sorry for those who couldn't get hold on to a pair.
