    really? hmmm getting out of control now i think many here at ozb are just enrol to all amex offer blindly as soon as possible - at the end people who need it will missing out.

      Sour grapes? I enrolled thinking that I MIGHT have a use for it on the off chance a good deal comes along and it did. Yes I do enroll in every AMEX offer that I MIGHT use and I do use around 50% of those that I enrol for.

      I'm sure you have benefited plenty from OzBargain but it seems you now want your cake and to eat it as well. I miss out on plenty of bargains because of timing but I don't complain about others getting in before me.

        Yeah, definitely sour grapes. I wasn't planning to buy anything from microsoft, but another deal came along that made it worthwhile. The AMEX offer tipped me to buy some new QC35's for ~$330. It's ozbargain after all!

      Isn't it:

      $399.20*.10= $39.92 (you receive TRS on tax invoice amount which is $399.20)

      Then:

      $339.20 - $39.92= $299.28

        I think it's actually $399.20/11 = $36.29 to calculate GST

        ts13 is correct, you don't calculate the GST component of a GST-inclusive price by dividing by 10. GST on $399 is $36.29, as stated on the invoice.

        If an item cost $10 before GST, you add 10% so it becomes $10+1 = $11. If you take 10% off $11, you'll get $1.10 which isn't the correct GST amount.

    Does someone own(ed) both QC35 and mdr-1000x? I am looking for a NC wiresless headphone at the moment. QC35 is cheaper and more deals. However the vacuum feeling of QC35 everybody talks about makes me unsure about choosing QC35.Is it really that bad? Thanks

      Somebody already posted the comparison of both headphones. Do a search on Sony mdr-1000x and you should able to find their reviews. They said mdr-1000x has better sound, but you need a bigger head to support it.

      He will have to create a UNiDAYS account. In doing so, there is a process where UNiDAYS verifies that he is a student. I can't recall how. It is either by emailing his .edu email address for verification, or logging into his university account through a portal.
      Once he has been verified as a student by UNiDAYS, he can click on the link in this deal, and will receive a single use, unique coupon code. You can use this coupon code on the Microsoft store to get the 20% discount on headphones.

    I went to JB and showed the the Unidays offer. They wouldn't match it as it wasn't advertised but would go down to 429. I had a $75 JB voucher so used it with that for #54 out of pocket.
