  • To double check, does this work for bank-issued amex cards?

I tried with my NAB Amex card and it works. I also read the T&Cs:

    B. Eligible Cards
Not all cards are eligible for this offer. If your card is ineligible, you will receive an error message and you will not be able to register for the offer. Corporate, business travel, government and store cards are not eligible.

It didn't say I was ineligible so I presume that bank amex is valid. Can anyone confirm based on previous experiences with similar offers from Amex?
    Thanks

Generally, if you did not get an error when registering it will work. Also, you should get an email saying that you have successfully registered for the offer immediately after registering.

      • Thanks. I got the email as well :)

I also got spend $200 with amex travel, get $50 back on my explorer, platinum charge and velocity.

Good one to bundle with use of $300/$400 travel credit if you can. That's my plan anyway.

  • Does anyone have manual link for "spend $200 with amex travel, get $50 back"? Not all my cards have this offer, only primary Qantas and edge have it, but primary explorer and all supplementary cards don't have it.

  • I got the $50 cash back deal on explorer, checked the offers tab in the Amex iPhone app

  • What are the chances Microsoft does a sale on xbox game preorders and makes this deal good?

    • +3

What are the chances they do a sale on Bose headphones as well.

    • Pretty much no chance on a preorder game sale through MS. I was looking to replace my launch console with an S but the prices are nowhere near as cheap as they were at Christmas time :(

  • Went to look for Woolworths gift cards but looks like they're sold through a different website. Anyone know from past experience if it still works?

    • Doubt it…

      Offer Terms:

"*Excludes gift card purchases and phone orders.
*Save the offer to your eligible Card and spend $100 or more on that Card, in one or more transactions, online at woolworths.com.au only by 14/2/2017 to receive one $10 credit. Limited to the first 15,000 Cards to save the offer."

      100% doesnt work!

  • If there is no e-gift card, there's no Woolworths offer. :-(.

Good deal nonetheless if someone has a large family and needs more groceries at a time.

    • If the are near a costco

    • Can do click and collect if that helps.

    • +2

doesn't have to be $100 in one transaction..could do a few Click and Collects (min spend $30)

      • agree. didn't realise $30 min spend, so thanks for that.
is click and collect of groceries (say 20 different items) convenient or a PITA? Have not tried. Like the idea for electronics etc.
the big issue I have with Woolworths Online is crappy / wrong substitutions and unavailability.
I feel that if I wanted to click and collect I would need to audit the purchase in store &/or do a 2nd physical shop if they stuffed up.

        • yes almost everytime they forget something or put the wrong thing in. I have had same issue delivery where they missed the cold meats etc and when I rang up all they did was refund the money, no compensation, and I had no meat for the week!

        • I also hate crappy/unsuitable substitutions so I make sure I click the "personal shopper NOT allowed to replace…" button. I am under the impression that any refund on out of stock items is a separate transaction and will not affect the order as a qualifying one (for rebate purpose)?!

        • @chocfrogs456:

yep, big problem, esp when doing a big shop (e.g. for a whole family).
personally a $5 or $10 voucher would not sway me, It is just damn inconvenient.

        • @Gleung:

Yeah, still qualifying for rebate but bl00dy inconvenient.

        • @MikeHunt: exactly @mikehunt - that is why I don't use click and collect/delivery- too inconvenient too often!
def recommend checking all items are there in store if you do click and collect

    Buy Xbox Gift Cards

    • Can they only be used for xbox live or can you actually buy an xbox with it at a later date?

  • Ok! So a surface pro 4 (core m3) costs $900 on special, and the amex drops it to 840 bucks! Soooooooo tempting!

    Enrolled thanks!

    Microsoft
Unfortunately the maximum number of Card Members have already enrolled in this offer. Please visit http://www.amexconnect.com.au for other fabulous offers.

    • hmmm getting out of control now i think many here at ozb are just enrol to all amex offers blindly as soon as possible - at the end people who need it will missing out.

      • +5

I enroll first and work out what to use it on later, and most people would be the same.
        Sorry, just being honest.

        • +2

I used to do that until I realised that you can just tell that you will never use one sometimes..

.. However, there've been times where I completely didn't anticipate that I would use it, but it would've come in handy and I regretted not enrolling, so I completely understand and do not begrudge you for your attitude.

For those of you who saved the Microsoft offer, don't forget Cashback. Depending on what you get, it's potentially 4-8% extra saving.

And if you're heading overseas, you've got TRS as well! so you potentially get $100 back off a $300 purchase.

    Thank you
