    Pretty Expensive socket set

They're professional grade and huge, overkill for most people as you can get a Stanley set with warranty for $100 on a good day. But most amateurs don't need 3/4" drive sockets anyway.

And these aren't much use without a large breaker anyway - there probably aren't any 2" bolts in the world that can be removed with a 12" ratchet.

As a diesel mechanic I can tell you I wouldn't use any of the cheap sets the you guys are finding - T&E tools are better quality than typhoon, tti tools . And with the forces you put on these big sockets you need decent quality .

      1) the funny Deal listings you post, and
      2) being a good voice of reason in your many replies.

How can I vote for you to be a mod? haha

        Ah, my public!

  • Good generic set ( same as kincrome ect ) price is ok but not really special mid to hi 200s would be a special.

      …List price: was $746.90….

      • There's list price and everyday price (around 500 mark) list price is great when your trying to justify to the wife and tell her you saved heaps.
But in reality you're paying trade price (everyday price)

    Hi all,

Thanks for all your comments. Just to give some background: T&E Tools are a professional brand not very well known in the domestic circles but very well respected in the automotive and heavy vehicle repair. It is a product range of over 15,000 tools, competing with SnapOn for range and function but at a much more reasonable price. This set is for anybody working in heavy vehicle side of things and represents excellent value. A bargain according to our professional customers.

Thank you HsvPete for your clarification also.

    Cheers

I've heard of SnapOn before, but not T&E. Your post is really for a limited market, but a market nonetheless (and even if it gets you 1 additional sale you'd never have had before, then it was worth it for you). Have my upvote!
