I've got one of these, got it for a way better price though. Here's a snapshot: https://www.google.com.au/search?q=hand&oq=hand

BTW op, think you'll find Australia Day and Christmas Day to be different days…

    • Well all the boys on here don't want to damage their beloved hands.

Do these work well on pop tops?

      • Yeah they work on both crown tops and twist tops

    • Opening with your hands is so 1980s. I like the dollar bill. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxQCkAqkFYo

Do you have a cheap knockoff mobile phone and a cheap knockoff car as well?

      • +1

Well yeah. Chinadroid deals get posted all the time. Infact lots of bargains posted aren't from Australia as the retail prices here are usually much more expensive.

    • Knockoff's wouldn't have the audio "commentary' etc that goes with it. I saw these guys on the Shark Tank (as usual getting reamed). They "needed" to get manufacturing under $5, so naturally offshore they went. Good luck getting a Patent to stick in China, hence the knockoffs.
I've got an idea I'd like to get off the ground (nothing to do with this), but still getting my head around how to get the patent sorted.

I guess if you want to support an Aussie company, get the original. If you want bang for $, get the knock off.

Not sure this is supporting an Aussie company any more than buying some random product at some random store that happens to be runs in Australia but that's actually made elsewhere.

        • I guess the top of the chain is Aussie. Pretty hard to find any gadgets / electronics with Aussie manufacturing. They initially had it built in OZ, but it was around $20+ per unit. Just an FYI. I wont be buying either of them…life provides you with plenty of bottle openers.

I have had one of these style bottle openers for years(not this make). Great bottle opener, just sits in my kitchen draw. I just had 100x Stainless steel ones made up for my wedding favours. I made a vector logo in Illustrator, and they lasered it in black on the top. Cost $306AUD shipped to me in Perth, so a bit over $3 each with a customized top. ;)
Should make for a neat gift for my guests! :)
