    • gearbest in disguise… thanks for letting me know, I had bad experience with them

  • Judt ordered the black one :)
Thanks OP, I don't really need it but couldn't resist.

    • You're welcome! :)

      • also, I just tried ordering the power bank and it worked, I hope it gets delivered. Couldn't resist the price for that too.

  • +1

Not cool OP! Asked you few times on why there is discrepency in discount.

    http://imgur.com/a/8pdc9

I and few other people got $3 instead of $3.91. I can live with the difference of under a dollar and already bought it but this doesn't make sense. Please explain.

    • Mine is working on 3.91.
Figured it out, as suggested by this comment here and confirmed: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/4387561/redir
Looks like it says $3 if you use mobile browser on your phone, $3.91 if you use the desktop browser checkout.
Tick request desktop site, make sure you aren't on m.yoshop.com and it'll discount properly.

      • Thanks for clarifying

  • Just ordered the black. Discount was only $3, but still a good price.

    • Use desktop site for full discount

  • can you change shipping address after you make payment?I order 2 power bank with wrong shipping address

  • +4

It seems that on mobile you only at $3 discount however on desktop you get the full $3.91. Anyway I just purchased 2. Thanks!

    • You're welcome! Enjoy :)

  • Thanks. Ordered 1 now.

  • Code is still working. Just ordered a power bank. Thanks OP

  • Thanks OP! Just bought a couple.

  • Could someone please share a review and a model number when their order arrives, thanks.

  • After coupon price was $14.90, not $13.78. Pass. Signed me up for no reason.

    • -5

Yeah. Its difference discount for Mobile vs Desktop. That is extremely poor setup from the website and bit deceiving to be honest. OP should have been clearer about that!

      • +3

Get over yourself. You're expecting the OP to personally test the code on every single browser out there?

The code worked for the majority of people. It's not that hard to get onto a desktop browser if you really wanted the deal. I don't see how he was being deceptive.

        Great deal btw OP.

        • +1

Sure. Deceptive wasn't for OP and more for store. Obviously it worked for you in first go, so this point is not relevant. However, there was small minority who had trouble and unnecessary wasted time because of issue. Would be consider the experience of that minority.

OP is associated with the store. So, we are saying there is no responsibility to the OP if you are associated?

Few people complained same thing and OP didn't take notice and ignored. Sure if it was someone who found the deal, etc. It is understandable.
So, you are saying for being associated you have no responsibility.

    • +1

Use desktop site for full discount. Remember to tick to use 10 points.

  • +2

thanks just got the black one. think got the last one because its now unavailable

  • +2

please bring more stock for the power bank.

  • Hey sorry for the unrelated post, but i just got mine off Shopping Square eBay sale.

I'm having trouble figuring out how to check my battery status for the powerbank, do i just press the power button once to check? Everytime I do this it disconnects and reconnects the charging so im a bit confused as to what is happening.

Also is the leds supposed to be flashing/blinking constantly when i recharge my phone?

    • +1

Yes and yes. It happens to all of them.
Blinks constantly to tell you its on an active
When you press once it will tell you how much power approx is left.
While it blinks when charging it'll also tell you how much power is approx left

  • ROIDMI showing as $11.37USD / $16.05AUD currently.

EDIT: Once i hit paypal check out it shows discounted price.

  • +1

Yep just got the email too. I presume it means they are out of stock? I messaged OP to clarify.

      • Hi gttdm, I have also just been sent a copy of this email.

Unfortunately Yoshop have been advised that they are not to ship the Xiaomi 10000mAh Power Bank 2 due to an unforeseen 'China Shipping' policy change.
It seems that Yoshop were informed of this at 1pm local time in Hong Kong.

From the details those who have made a purchase can:

        a) Seek full refund of purchase price (~AU$18.27) or
        b) Select an item from the Yoshop store that is of similar price will require contact via the YOSHOP 'Ticket Support' office

Please contact the YOSHOP 'Ticket Support' office with your order number and compensation selection.
Also be aware that Yoshop is out of office from Jan 26 to Feb 1 during Chinese New Year. We will do our best to answer all tickets in a timely manner upon return, see

On behalf of YOSHOP I apologise for any inconvenience this decision has caused.

Please contact via PM if you need any information clarified.

  • +1

    Very bad experience,
    1. OP published a bargain deal for power bank,
    2. Buyer bought a lot and paid,
    3. two days later seller sent email to cancel the orders,
    4. refund delayed due to seller is out of office from Jan 26 to Feb 1.

    What the bargain deal is!

    • -3

I see nothing wrong. Just a small inconvenience for a few days.
The OP has updated us on the situation as they saw the information come through.
      I haven't received the email yet :|
Maybe mine will slip through haha

  • +2

Terrible, I just received the same email as well! This has to be a scam where they are making money from the interest?

    • I feel like i have to agree with this comment. Sounds dodgy

    • +1

Its $18.27 for a powerbank dude.
3% interest gives you 54c over a year.
At most its 2cents if they hold your money for 2 weeks -_-

      • I don't think you understand. When it's $18.27, and it's accumulated with a large amount of people which totals over let's say $5000 it's a lot more interest than you'd expect.

        • I don't think you understand. When it's $18.27, and it's accumulated with a large amount of people which totals over let's say $5000 it's a lot more interest than you'd expect.

          Well. 2492 clicks.
Let's assume 80% purchase rate, just for the powerbank alone
          1994 clicks.
Let's round that up to 2000 purchases, all to be refunded.
          2000 x 2c worth of interest over 2 weeks = $40.

          I don't think they'd hold 2000 orders just to gain $40…

        • @cwongtech:

Well they still profit irrespective, whether it's their intention or not most people are more annoyed about having to put the order in, find out at a later date that they can't fulfill an order after an associated states that there is no issue with shipping and then receive their own money back at a much later date.

        • +2

          @DAOtmc:
          It's life. Things go wrong.
Just hope that this doesn't mean the end of cheap xiaomi powerbanks from china :(

  • Hmm haven't received the email yet. Checked my spam folder too and nothing.
Rawm can you confirm if everyone who ordered will have the same issue and should have gotten the email by now?

    • Hi unco,

As YOSHOP support are currently closed due to Chinese New Year national holiday I have been unable to determine if this affects all or some purchases. My guess would be yes, all who have purchased now are affected by this issue. Through reading the email communication it's clear that a speedy resolution is desired by YOSHOP; there is nothing sinister in this despite some user comments.

Once again on behalf of YOSHOP I apologise for this issue. Please try and appreciate the resultant workload associated with this unforseen cancellation for all involved in this promotion and rest assure that there is nothing to be gained by YOSHOP.

  • i havnt received email yet? how do i receive my refund

    • Please contact the YOSHOP 'Ticket Support' office with your order number and compensation selection, referring to my comments here. Also be aware that Yoshop is out of office from Jan 26 to Feb 1 during Chinese New Year. Yoshop will do their best to answer all tickets in a timely manner upon return on 1/2/16

  • +2

2-Feb now, waiting for update from YOSHOP.

    • Hi sunaus, please refer to below update. Thanks.

      • I guess many people would like to get Xiaomi power bank other than refund.

        Thanks,

    UPDATE 2/2

    Dear Yoshop customers,

I can confirm all Xiaomi Power Bank 2 have been packaged and are awaiting mail certification before being dispatched from China Mail centre. I sincerely apologise for this delay. This certification process is likely to take 3-7 days.

If customers have not yet done so they can choose to place a ticket request with your order # and seek a refund cancellation of this order.

Yoshop appreciates your patience with this matter.

    • +2

So does this mean we WILL be getting them now if we didn't seek a refund already?

      • +2

        Hi unco,
I am continuing to liaise with Yoshop customer service - it appears that the orders are likely to be dispatched but cannot confirm 100% until told this for certain. Please continue to be patient and await an update within the next 24hrs. I apologise for the delay.

        • Thanks rawm

        • Thanks rawm for your help, but is there any update?

  • still no update on my ticket?

    • Same I'm still waiting for a response. Must be a lot of tickets to respond to.

      • all goods got a reply and the refund just then

        • Still waiting…..

  • Super surprising, just received shipping notification. Thanks rawm, apologies for an earlier comment last week.

    • Wow I just logged in to my account and it says 'dispatched'.
Checked my email and junk mail and don't have a shipping notification though.

Edit: Aaaannd I just got the notification email.
Glad I didn't cancel, thanks rawm.

    • Yep, I got shipping notification for mine this morning. Hope it comes.

  • +3

I don't understand, so for the people that didn't cancel are they actually going to receive their Xiaomi Power Banks? Whilst others that DID cancel based on the statement that was given here? This is super dodgy if that happens in my opinion. Sounds like a way of reducing amount of Xiaomi Power Banks being sold at that particular price point. Pretty bad experience in my opinion.

  • Ordered my 24/1, just got a notification that it shipped!

Hopefully I get mine soon :)

    Thanks Yo!

  • It's just that shit happens but at least there was a favourable outcome and it got shipped.

I had an aliexpress order from a seller for ~12ish xiaomi power bank 2 during the aliexpress 11/11 sale and received a seller message to cancel due to stricter shipping policies with lithium batteries and that they would have to mark it as shipped with a dummy tracking # to keep within aliexpress guidelines/targets w/e, then there was another message from a different rep followed up that they could seek another shipping provider.

I'd actually never bothered to login into aliexpress until ~2-3 weeks+ later which is when I saw the messages. When I msg'ed back asking their progress with finding a different shipper the first rep msg'ed back and said they said to cancel. Refund put me out of pocket by ~$1-2 maybe due to currency fluctuations or some conversion bullshit.

They must've worked it out with their shipping provider or sought a different one that would take the batteries which is way better than my experience with that aliexpress seller.

I ended up ordering ~6 from an ebay seller, supposedly shipped locally. And whaddya know. Took longer than the postage time given by ebay by a couple of days. The packaging was totally unopened. It was obviously forwarded/dropshipped along from China. It was foam squares arranged into a box and taped together that still had some remains of a chinese shipping label (by sea? by air? nfi) with the new auspost/whatever post details slapped on top of it. Was expensive but at least it was speedy.

  • Please refer to my update at the top of the post.
All orders have been approved for immediate shipment.
    Thanks for your patience.

    • When should we expect refunds to be debited back into our accounts? My status says refunded however I'm yet to see funds.

  • I got my refund today but it was a bit less than the amount I paid in AUD (and still got stung the INTNL TRANSACTION FEE)

Is this something I have to take up with my bank or Paypal?

To be clear, I was refunded the correct US dollar amount I paid ($13.79US) but looks like different conversion rate was used.

    • AUD exchange rate causes this, and AUD becomes little bit higher than before.

  • Refund received.
Hope this deal can be repeated without issues someday.

  • just received cancellation email, what a load of $$

  • Piss poor. I won't be making another order with yoshop again.

    • errr what?

They said to me mine was shipped……. Are they playing games?

      • I have received shipping notification and the tracking states it is currently in Sydney. I am not sure how some orders have been refunded while others have been shipped.

        • Wow didn't even realise there was a tracking number on the account page til you mentioned it.
Mine says it's in Sydney now too, probably in the same shipment.
The status is 'Received and Clearing'.. hopefully customs clears it!

        • +1

          @unco:

You guys are lucky, my tracking number says "no tracking found" in chinese….

          Ergh

Correction, tracking shows in Sydney now, yay!

          Hopefully soon!

  • Gday

I just received mine. Haven't opened it up as yet, I'm a bit concerned the security label looks different from the images on google. The scratch panel is a thin strip at the bottom, instead of the square-ish panel at left of sticker. What do ppl think? The number does check out at mi.com/verify, but I have a strong suspicion this isn't genuine product. The front of the box has a low-res image of the product, no 'Mi' brand logo apart from that on the product image.
Is there a way to include an image link here so you guys can take a look??

    • You can upload a photo using these instructions https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:media_file_uploader

    • +1

There's heaps of customer product shots you can compare against here and here

From what I can tell, your packaging looks the same. Are you comparing against Power Bank 2 packaging stickers?

How does the item itself look? No scratches etc, doesn't look like it's been opened? Try and compare the print on then end against other photos (font etc).

I saw in some of the other shots a protective sticker over the ports, did yours have that? Hopefully it's just be case of it being opened and checked it works before shipping, but who knows.

      • Thanks bamzero

I've also checked a few youtube vids, they seem to show the same thing (for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-ASNAmD2r4)

So assuming those vids are of genuine product, it looks like my unit is the same. As you said, I'm hoping it was just opened for some good reason and nothing nefarious.

I'm going to go ahead and start using this thing. If anything goes wrong, I'll report back.

        Otherwise, thanks OP ;)

    does this work

    • Perfect. I am not an expert though so hopefully others will comment.

    • Mine arrived today and looks the same as yours. I can also confirm device and packaging are exactly the same as the one I bought recently from another seller and the code checks out. Hence I have no doubt that it's not a fake.

this is the mi.com/verify site saying the number is real and hasn't been used before. But my spidey senses are tingling…

…and the box is not sealed…the round sticker has been cut, and they've stuck a bit of tape over it.

OP/rawm, do you have any comment on this?

    • Mine looks identical to yours but the circle tape was not cut. I had to fresh cut that.

I'm pretty confident that mine is real (and probably yours too) because of the mi.com verification. Hard to fake that. If its not a real number, it won't work. If it was verified more than once before your first go, it may be fake.

I'm pretty happy with mine. Turbo charges my phone as a first level test.

I really think if the code works, you probably don't have anything to worry about. How does the device itself look?

  • +1

Thanks again OP, received mine in good condition sealed without any problem. It looks it has been shipped from Australia.

    • Black or silver?

      • black

    • Hi msmhw,

Thanks a lot for the positive feedback; much appreciated. Enjoy your Xiaomi Power Bank 2.
      Cheers.

  • +1

Awesome. I just picked up my power banks today. They came here faster than I expected and in great condition. Now charging them up to test. Thanks Yoshop!

    • Glad to hear - enjoy! :)

  • +1

Thanks rawm, received today. Birthday present for tomorrow so perfect timing. Can't believe how thin it is compared to my old 10,4000 one. Understand you probably had to do something special to get these shipped, thanks for your efforts.

    • +1

      Respect.
      Appreciate your positive message :)

  • +1

Received mine today too, thanks rawm.

    • Appreciate the message - You're welcome.

    • Received mine on Thursday too :)

  • Thanks OP. I received mine yesterday, but found some scratches on one side. Hope it is a original and new product.

  • Purchased 24th Jan, shipped out 6th Feb, Arrived 1th Feb

Checked the scratch security code and it confirmed genuine product

  • Anyone got their ROIDMI yet?

    • +1

      Nope

    • +1

I got mine the week before last. Strangely was sent via auspost, shipped locally!?!?
Box seal had been opened and taped closed. But everything looks legit.

      • Probably gone through a logistics company, freight forwarder..
