    Thanks OP,
I will book all of "The Residence" seats for me and my family.
    Thanks

    • you can't as they only allow 2 persons per Residence.

OP, i'll take 5 planes please. The nanny is coming along.

  • +10

would only take up the $37,521.00 residence offer if i was a politician and had a government credit card on a business trip "wink wink" with the wife and kids

    • -5

Doubt the polies just go on 'business trips' with families.

    • and spontaneously buying another residence at auction while you are on that government business trip

      • Of course!

It's only $800k… and just the same as a spontaneous purchase at Bunnings.

Man… if she honestly expects us to believe this is a spontaneous purchase, she's either a terrible investor that doesn't do due diligence (in which case she shouldnt be a Minister responsible for spending our money), or a liar (in which case she shouldnt be a Minister responsible for spending our money).

She should've lost her job in Parliament, not just walk away from the Front Bench.

        • due diligence must have been done as I believe he/she/it had finance pre-arranged for the auction. All spontaneously.

Followed by spontaneous combustion of a Minister.

While I'm at it Bronwin, is the Chauffeur Transfer via helicopter?

    • lead by example EC, you're better than that ;)

    • Don't forget to resign after your return. It's part of the rules.

"I am choosing to share this with this massive discounted fare as I have been a long time user of OZ Bargain and always loved all the deals"

And it's your job to sell these…..

    • +8

sniff sniff i smell undeclared commissions

      • Pretty much why it's going to their FB page also… selling one of these would net them a very nice commission.

        • -5

          Hey Legends,

The reason these fares are so cheap are due to the fact I have netted down the fare. (Taken off the commission).

The only booking fee applied is $30.00 and that is to cover our ticketing fee.

I get tallied on how many tickets we sell, so it is a win win for both parties :)

Speak soon and let me know if you would like to go to Europe :)

  • +1

thats it I'm selling my car who needs a car when i can fly one way to europe

    :)

    • You only live once :)

For a "travel expert", you keep posting that it is a 3 bedroom suite when it is a 1 bedroom, 3 room suite, so not sure why I anyone would want to rely on your knowledge!

    • Negging the deal because of a typo?

      • +7

the neg is for the OP posting the same "typo" which was pointed out in a past post:

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/280772

        • +3

Exactly and last time I commented on the error without negging as a chance for it to be corrected and it still isn't.

TBH the first time I read it I thought Wow! makes for a great deal with 3 bedrooms for the family compared to booking business class till I checked it and found that the reality is disappointing of course.

SO I think it is a neg for a type of bait or false advertising.

    End of December? 2017?

  • How many people are you allowed to have in "The Residence"? e.g. Can I sneak 40 of my friends in with me? It would be a pretty sweet deal if I could do that. And one heck of a party.

    • +10

Hey! It's me, one of your 40 friends!

    • I would say, it depends on the combination and how you stack them

    • +1

Hopefully that isn't the "residence" of Ali Baba…

Two. Two Adults or One Adult and One Child.

      • What's the third bed for?

        • A travel agent says he/she is booking you 3 bedrooms and you believe them?? There is no 3rd bedroom, infact there is no 2nd bedroom either!

        • What's the third bed for?

Watch the video, there are two seats in one room, a double bed in another room and a bathroom. That's three rooms.

        • bathroom becomes a bedroom in event of enough alcohol =)

        • @Lukian:

Don't you mean bedroom becomes a bathroom?

  • This is bargain for members of Parliment… not sure anyone will be here looking at OZBargain!

    • Brownyn might be sniffing around for a bargain now she has to pay her own way

      • +1

She's not paying her own way!

We pay for her for life :(

    ozbargainers fly economy

  • Have been on their Bus Class was excellent, mate of mine and wife scored 2 x residence flights to LHR using miles, still talking about it from ages ago.

    • wow, must have been a lot of miles. When I last checked, it was almost 1 million miles MEL-LHR one way.

      • No using AA before it got devalued was 60k one way from Sydney to Abu Dhabi

        • Thats The Apartment (first). The 3 roomed suite Residence is way more exxy.

        • @The Champagne Mile:

True. You can alway fly The Residence from AUH-BOM for $3000. Much cheaper than the $37k

    • +7

Have been on their Bus Class was excellent, mate of mine and wife scored 2 x residence flights to LHR using miles, still talking about it from ages ago.

Are you still mates with him after he went on holidays with your wife?

I know this is probably a good deal compared to normal business class fares - but holy shit who (other than an Aussie politician) can rationalise spending $6k for a little extra comfort on an airplane?

That's more than the average annual wage in Thailand! That's 600 Xiaomi powerbanks! That's 6000 of those Messina Gelato tubs!

    • Depends on a number of reasons.

I flew business class from MEL to Istanbul a few months ago, cost about $6.5k. However I needed the luggage allowance and the sleep as I needed to bring back some samples and see suppliers straight away. Flew there with 2 large empty luggages, and came back with 3 full luggages.

I justified it by being able to sell the samples to cover the fare plus a bit more, and established a supplier for work.

      • +1

You could have used a credit card signup to pay for those biz class tickets. Obviously we need to sign you up to a couple of credit cards.

    • I bet most business class fares are claimed as a tax deduction, so railspider, you and I are paying $3K of it (and $17,000 towards the Residences). The Gov/ATO killed the tax deductable "Long Lunch" years ago, and clawed back some of the excess luxury car deductions; they could do the same with "excess transport luxury" if they were willing.

  • Same 'deal' posted by OP 4 times in 2 months. This is just spam

  • Any deals for economy class to Milan in august??

"Due to the great success of people using this AMAZING airfare…"

OP, how many Residence tickets has Escape Travel Indooroopilly sold to date? Somehow, I doubt that you will reach the target audience for The Residence through OzBargain and Facebook. Maybe you'd be better off handing out fliers at the polo or on a super yacht.

    • Are you implying most of us don't browse OzBargain from our super yachts on triple-screen Razer laptops?

      • Oh I have one of those!

        Just don't tell anyone :)

  • No bargains here. We like things cheap. Long time ozbargainers don't write "OZ Bargain"

    Not a deal!

  • Pretty much the same as VirginAustralia booking, and all Etihad Business flights include chauffeur experience anyway. Spam.

  • +1

There we go, this travel expert joker is back.

  • This is not an amazing deal in any way, shape or form. In fact, just a week ago these same flights are $1000 cheaper per person on Etihad (Australia to Amsterdam via Abu Dhabi return business).

  • Looking at Royal Brunei (<$1000 economy rtn), their Business is over $1200 (=2 bottles of Grange) cheaper
