Is it the right way around?

  • +1

Saw this the other day but didn't post it as I wasn't sure if it's Made in Australia.

    • +1

Chances of that are slim to none. I'd hazard a guess at China.

  • Is the flag larger enough to use as a cape..

    • +1

The small side of the flag is 68cm, so unless you are Clive Palmer you should be good.

    • If not you can always wear it as a face mask

      • Bit big for that I think. You'd look like you were British.

      • +1

Or send it to Gina Rinehart as she'll no doubt need a new shoulder patch from all those chips.

    • Why would you want to use it as a cape to begin with?

Awesome time to raise Chinese Made Flags

Actually with the Lunar New Year this week you're not wrong.

      • Can i re-use this flag on Lunar New Year?

        • Get some red paint and slap a few 8's on it - maybe draw a Rooster - and you have yourself a genuine Lunar New Year flag!

        • @railspider: thanks for the DIY tutorial. Will do!

        • @railspider:

          Get some red paint

Also will come in handy when communists invade.

Everything the good little bogan needs.

    • +2

Why do you need to link patriotism with bogans?

      • -2

Because it is usually the bogans you see wrapped in the flags, using the Australian stubby holders and, I don't know, using the cheap stick on nails, wigs, tattoos, facepaint, etc. However, you could be right there might be other people who are doing this in an ironic fashion statement. Sometimes, I think it is hard to know where patriotism end and chauvanism begins.

        BTW
"Boswell tells us that Samuel Johnson made this famous pronouncement that patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel on the evening of April 7, 1775."

So little kids who just wanted an aussie flag facepaint are now to be called bogan :(
Whats the problem with letting people have their own harmless fun and celebration.

        • @payton: I'm not saying Bogans are the only ones that do this; I'm just saying that this will provide Bogans with their favourite outfits.

  • All this stuff made in china ironically.
