ROOSTER

All luxury branded handbags 20% off with promo code. Deal is probably not for everyone here but it might help someone.
I haven't bought anything from them so I can't comment on the reliability or reputation of the site. They seem to provide tax invoice for TRS.

  • Glad someone else saw this deal! Did you buy anything?

I hesitated to post it to OzBargain because their web presence is pretty lacking. I would have expected more mentions on vogue forums, facebook etc, considering they even have brick and mortar stores.

Really hope these are genuine because the price is amazing. I bit the bullet and picked up a black Antigona medium for $1991. Almost too good to be true.

  • I havent bought anything yet still deciding. The price is very good and they have a shop in Sydney CBD MLC centre. I have been there before so it does look legit.
Very nice price on your new handbag!

    • That's a relief, thanks for letting me know! The handbag is actually a gift for my wife, she's going to freak out. I'll add a comment once I get my order, if it goes well then Cosette deserves a bit more online exposure!

I thought about commenting but didn't at first. I bought a Prada bag there last year because I did some checks on their business name, ABN, and also saw that they have a shop front, so decided that they were pretty legit. A day after I bought it, a post on the Purse Forum website came up in the Name and Shame thread and told people to steer clear of this website. I questioned why they believed that the shop is selling counterfeit bags and the poster just kept on saying that I was being extremely naive to think that a physical high street shop won't be selling any fakes just because they have a store front. I've seen many shops in Melbourne CBD selling fake LV's but they were always well hidden among other none branded items, so for a shop to be advertising all their designer bags and selling them fake is hard to believe. So I called Cosette a few times, spoke to the manager even, and they've all been extremely helpful. They assured me that everything they sell is authentic and they have buyers in Europe who gets items out of season for a cheaper price, and then pass on the savings to Australian customers. She also said that I'm more than welcome to cancel the order if I was feeling unsure. I decided to wait for the bag to arrive and then decide if I want to return it. Although Prada bags are one of the hardest bags to authenticate in the world, I trust that my experience and research will give me a pretty good idea if it's real or fake. Fast forward a week, the bag arrived. Everything about it looked right, the smell of the leather, the leather texture, the stitching, the logo, the lining, the sizing, I don't think anyone will spend that much effort trying to make a fake item so real. Later on, I actually saw the same bag in a smaller size in a different reputable seller, and I compared all the trademarks and my bag still matched everything. To this day I still haven't got it professionally authenticated, but I trust my judgement.

So, don't worry too much about it, just enjoy it. The Antigona is a lovely bag, the only reason why I didn't choose it is the shoulder strap is too short, when you're carrying it on the shoulder strap, the short handles tend to 'stab' your armpits. ;) But it's easily remedied by using a different shoulder strap. A lot of brands are making guitar straps this year, this is the next big thing. There are a couple of really cute ones from Rebecca Minkoff in David Jones. You have excellent taste, your wife will be very happy.

        • Thanks, really appreciate your comment. Sounds like you did plenty of research as well.

I like to think I've got a pretty keen eye for detail, and am somewhat interested in the fashion replicas scene (out of curiosity, I don't see the point in buying a replica). Can't wait to receive the bag and give it a thorough inspection!

Late last week I had a phone call from a very nice gentleman at Cosette who noticed I had a guys name and wanted to double-check that I didn't need it for a Valentines Day gift, because it's going to be touch-and-go whether it arrives to me by the 14th here in Adelaide. So although it was delayed a few days, the rep was at least proactive about it and he was very apologetic. Fortunately its for a birthday present in a few months, so no skin off my nose if it's a few days more.

Some of those Rebecca Minkoff guitar straps look really cool, thanks for the tip!

        • @cookieinc: Not a problem, I only saw these straps on David Jones because I was thinking of getting one myself. Haven't got one yet mainly because they're all in black and I think it'll look strange if I put it on a bag that's another colour.

All the best with the bag, your wife will love it. :)

    Mini review update!

I received the delivery yesterday, it was sent via Fastway couriers. Very attractive Cosette branded presentation box packaged inside the shipping carton. The presentation box has magnets in the lid keeping it closed nicely. Folding the lid back, inside is neatly wrapped tissue paper sealed with a little "merci" sticker. Nice touch. Since this is a gift, I was able to carefully unfold the tissue paper along the edge and remove the handbag without disturbing the already perfect wrapping :)

I bought the Givenchy Antigona in medium, and am 100% sure it's genuine. Everything from the quality of the printing on the dustbag, to the stitching, the feel of the leather, the lining, the hardware, the embossed lettering… it's all absolutely perfect.

Overall, I am ridiculously happy with this purchase and would not hesitate to use Cosette again. They deserve a bit more exposure I reckon.
