Note that these points are in addition to whatever points you would normally earn. I cashed in some points the other day - 2,000 points equated to 40 euro that converted to $56. So if you manage to stay three times then you could earn 6,000 points which would be $168 (if you get vouchers to pay for meals etc) or you can also use them to pay towards some stays. I actually managed to convert some points for an 'experience' - to get tickets to watch the Australian Open Tennis Women's final on the weekend as well as stay in a hotel overnight plus breakfast.

Don't forget to consider trying the accor places facebook app (http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/leclub/earn/places.shtml) - it is horrible to use and flakey as, but by checking in during (or after - within 6 months of the original stay) you can get additional points. Unfortunately the points no longer count towards membership levels, but they still have some value!

  Do these points count towards status? Also how many points did you need for an Accor experience to the Womens Final?

    Nope - bonus points do not count towards status as of January 1st (they did in the past…)

    Sadly no they no longer count towards status. The final sucked up 22,000 points but it was definitely worth it.

  I found cheaper and better deals on Booking.com and Agoda.

    Not as such, but there are some restrictions that rule out the likes of booking.com:

    "8. To be eligible for the offer, stays must be booked via AccorHotels distribution channels (AccorHotels websites, AccorHotels mobile applications, AccorHotels Central Reservations, hotels) and traditional travel agencies using a GDS that is automatically connected to AccorHotels Central Reservations. You are therefore not eligible for this offer if your stay is booked with a retailer, a tour operator or a third-party online travel agency (such as expedia.com, booking.com, etc.). "

    Having said that, don't forget that they have a 'best price guarantee' (http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/garantie/descriptif.shtml) so in theory if you find a better price online elsewhere, then Accor will beat it by 10% and you'll get the bonus points….
