    "Excl. VIC/NSW"

Because love is dead in VIC/NSW

      NSW has love-out laws.

No love allowed after 1:30 AM.

    • Nah, just no free love.

    • Hey WA doesn't even get a mention so I wanna know what love is.

  • +2

Surprisingly, I just posted one for free for the Herald Sun.

    • Interesting. It's always been free for as long as I can remember. I am not sure whether to update the post? Mods?

      • Well, the website's barely working as the buttons and text are all over the place, but I was still able to manage posting one.

        • Great, thanks. I'll update the post with a "MAYBE free in VIC"

    • +2

      Yup. worked for me too!

why do people do this stuff?? who the hell reads newspapers these days?? especially in the ads section?

  • Hmmm, might have to find an establishment which leaves a copy of the paper lying about

  • Thanks. Put an ad in the Herald Sun, although sadly it was 4 lines and they charged me $11.51. Ah well, not a bad price to pay to keep the missus happy

    • +2

      Jeez, that's a bit steep!

Might just write it on a bit of paper myself! :P

      • +3

Upvoted for you writing a love letter to kosh52's missus.

        • +1

hahahaha, need a copy too ?

  • So much error on the Courier Mail page. Still unable to do anything but register.

  • Is OzBargain running their V.Day competition this year?

  • The Advertiser: Nope…

  • Looks like The Advertiser do have a minimum cost:

Register and place your message for a minimum cost of only $20 for the first 5 lines. Additional lines are only $5 extra per line thereafter.

Interesting thanks - they definitely changed this during the course of the day.

      • Agreed. I saw it when it was free, and was going to add to this post you could get 4 lines for $0 instead of the indicated 3 lines.

I put that thought aside for 15 mins while I did some work, came back to the site, refreshed and found it was kaput.

        • The Advertiser says it's $20 for 5 lines, but if you only do 2, then update price, it goes to $0. You can also fill up the top line with text, so effectively 3 lines for free.

        • @Mckop: I've tried that method but no success - it's a base fee of $20 for me, with additional expense as it exceeds 5 lines.

    • So no free message at all for The Tiser? Poor form!

  • Was able to submit my for free on the Herald Sun like usual, thanks guys!

  • Thanks OP.

Was able to submit for free on the Herald Sun.

Now need to start buying the Herald Sun.

    • Herald Sun Victoria wanted $11.28 when I put in 3 lines.

      • +4

I just submitted a Herald Sun listing after you posted here, and it was free. Remember, the three lines includes the bold heading

my line - MALCOLM - Why don't you call anymore - love Donald

        • Thank you! That was the problem. That and I had too many words on my lines, so I needed to trim it back.

  • ah wish NSW was doing this :(

  • +1

I just got one in for antidisestablishmentarianism

  • Herald Sun now requiring base price of $23 :(

    • Yes, not free any more. Checked just now.

      • glad i got my (many) in early.

Vale this type of deal :(

  • HELLOOOOOO ! - W.A. exists too - where's our chance for a go ? Or do we have to go through the only E.S. Options still available.
