  • Love Xperia. Premium designed

  • How's the reliability? Worried about the likelihood of having to send it back to DWI given it's grey import.

  • If they ever get rid of the wasteful and irritating "What's New" spamware built into their phones, I will look at getting another.

Can be disabled. Uninstalled if you have root.

      • Re-enables itself on reboot and auto-triggers every so often. [on the 'Z' phones at least.] With a new phone, "root"=="No warranty without long hard court battle" (reasonably enough).

        • I'm not experiencing that on a Z5 Ultra.

        • @Diji1: Good. Other than that, it was a phone I was really happy with, but the " we'll make a video of your month's photos [unrequested] and the constant use of it as a vehicle to push their Times/Warner media empire adverts wore very thin…

This is not related to price. I have had 2 Sonys and they are not worth their price. They are slow after a short time, expensive and though "waterproof" the headphone jack gets wet and thinks there is headphones in it for the whole day. You can't use it. You literally go for a call and can't use normal mic, speaker and can only use headphones..If you brought headphones with you.
I wouldn't go Sony and to be honest I would only recommend going local so you have a 2 year warranty. It's needed.

    • Still using a Z2 since they were first released.
Still going great. Still waiting for something that will wow me enough to replace it.

  • You can plug a jack tip if you don't use headphones much
    Slow is the problem

  • Unfortunately the xperia x compact doesn't come with the same specs as the x performance they cheaped out they make extremely odd decisions. They are constantly going one step forward two step backwards they are an odd company.

  • The Xperia X is a very mid-range phone in specs (similar to Redmi Note 3 Pro)…The X Performance is the proper high-end device with SD820

Also, the X Performance is water resisant, but the Xperia X is not
