  • I couldn't find on the site how many grams of spice mix is in each packet. Just trying to compare with other spice stores.

Although, I do like the recipe card you get with yours!

According to the pics it seems to be 20g

      Expensive if you ask me

      • Yup. If it's 20 grams.. Pretty expensive. Can get spice mixes at Coles for around $5 for 100 grams, this would translate to around $32 for 100 grams.

But hard to say as there isn't anything on the website that I could find which says how many grams it is.

Hey there, the packs are 15g each. Unlike the spices at supermarkets ours are freshly blended locally in Australia and are free from additives, fillers and colours. We also work hard to develop easy-to-use recipes and video guides for every blend. We have over 30 blends that we will release over the rest of this year! Most of the blends we develop are not available in stores like supermarkets. I hope this answers your question!

      • Even more expensive at 15g. Now we know why the description omitted that fact for 20 hours.

  • Hi, just to clarify, this really was for a friend, it's not my business (by Ozb rules I have to mark Associate even if it's just a friend level). Suggest queries go through their website :)

    • A few example bargains in your description might be useful.

  • Nice idea. I roast and grind all of my own spices and when you compare a freshly ground spice to a shop bought packet of ground spice it's like drinking a flat white for the first time after drinking instant all your life. I'm sure these spices will be really fresh.

    • Just curious, which ones do you roast and grind yourself? Do you store yours in the freezer?

      • @voteoften

I roast various blends like garam masala, biryani masala, Chinese five spice. These are mixtures of whole spices that I then blend. I also grind individual spices like cinnamon, coriander and cumin. I only do enough to fill my spice jars so they last about 1-2 months. After that the pungency starts to wane. I've never tried freezing dried spices. I do freeze some fresh herbs though.

        • Is it hard to grind cinnamon?

The spices that are not used very often, are kept in the freezer at my place.

  • Hi, Meg here from Spice Quarter. The spices are all 15g per pack. Compared to supermarket spices, our spice blends are organic and free from all additives, colors or added flavor! We also provide a matching recipe for every blend as well as guided step-by-step videos and free shipping in Australia. If you have any further questions, please ask and I will be happy to answer.

Why is this information not in your description area?

      • Hi there, it is in the product description. Our website is getting updated so perhaps it was not visible just yet. Thanks!

        • Your description area is below the title and above the tags. It should not take 22 months' membership to discover that. We come here for bargains, not your eponymous website. Do you wish to count spice packs or sell spice packs?

        • @PJC:

Easy now, be fair, I put this up for her as she wasn't a member yet. She now is, and has answered all your questions.

        • @cassidy02: So help her and edit the description like you did for Julisa. Disclosing the amount of content in a spice pack is very basic information.

  • It took 20 hours for the description to inform fellow OzBargain members how much spice is in a pack, and still no example bargains in there.

PJC, I was doing a favour for a friend, a distant one at that, by posting this deal. I only marked myself as an Associate of the company as it was following the guidelines to do so. I'm not going to take time to sit here and calculate discounts off random items on their page to justify how you believe a deal should be listed. If the deal is against the guidelines, please feel free to report to the moderators as clearly this is an ongoing issue for you.

    • -1

Hey PJC, as mentioned by my friend, feel free to report it if you have an issue. I am here to answer genuine questions from anyone that is interested in this deal or wants to know more about the product. Have a good day

  • Like it would have killed you to include a few example bargains and sell more spice. Nearly 23 hours and not one price in the description.

As for following the guidelines …

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:title_guidelines
    Titles should state:-
    2. Price.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:deal_posting_guidelin…
Write a descriptive title & description
    2. State the price.
    5. If shipping is required, state the shipping cost to major Australian cities if this information is available; approximate range is ok if the exact cost is variable or not available. (Store representatives must provide this information - there should be no reason to hide this from potential customers.)

    Sales, Catalogues and Stores
    People generally value their time.

If you know there is a good bargain or two in a sale, catalogue or store, it's a good idea to mention one or even two bargains, in the title, and provide direct links where possible, to those items.

If there are multiple bargains in the same sale, catalogue or store, it is still advisable to post once only. Then multiple items can be listed in the same posting; probably with what looks to be the best or most popular bargains at the top. Multiple postings for the same sale and/or catalogue may be unpublished.

  • Negging because even after 6 days, Associated OP and the vendor have not disclosed any prices whatsoever in their description or title.

  • OP has incorrectly designated this "bargain" as Expired even though the code still works:-
