Vaya $36/Mth Unlimited Talk/Text with 9GB

50

Hey guys,

Just wanted to let you all know that we have bumped up the data on our Unlimited XL plan, was $36 with 8GB and is now $36 with 9GB. This offer is available for new services and existing customers can plan change over to it. Ends 31 March. Worth noting as well, you will get 9GB for the life of your plan, so you will not drop back down to 8GB after 31 March. No promo code required. For more info, head on over to the website or fire any questions through below and I will be happy to answer them.

Cheers, Ian

  • So existing customers on the plan won't get the bump? Inb4 the complaints.

    • Existing customers can plan swap over to it. You can do this in My Account. You will incur the normal $5 plan change fee.

      • So if they are already on XL and want the bump is that 1 plan change or 2?

        • It would be 1 plan change

      • I plan changed to XL 10 days ago… An I expected to pay another $5 if I want the extra 1GB?!

        • Hi el-cheapo, can you PM me your account details and I will look into this.

You guys need to look into the $5 change of plan fee, its generally pretty stupid. I can understand a fee for someone who downgrades, but no other situation.

Thanks for the feedback cloudy. I will pass this on.

@Vaya Ian Fagan: You should go better and do what your parent company now, Amaysim, does: allow a free upgrade even in the middle of a period and bump the limits immediately. This way, if the customer is willing to pay, you win too.

        • Trust me they got better with fees… Remember the 20 dollar security deposit? LOL!

Christmas promotion was $22 for this plan (8GB). $14 more with addition 1GB data.

  • I am eagerly waiting for my Telstra plan to finish in July so I can switch over to you!

    • Awesome! We look forward to having you on board :)

dont do it. save yourself the headache

      • Oh really, tell me more!

keep in mind that for an extra $2/m you can sign up to telechoice and be on the telstra network.

  • Seems like an alright deal.

For $40pm you can have 12GB with Optus, and even cheaper with a student discount, which will get you a FAR better customer service line (which is saying something about how bad I found Vaya).

I'll never recommend Vaya after it took them almost 2 months to refund my $20 "bond" (or whatever they called it at the time) after I left them. I spent at least an hour in total chasing it up and only kept chasing it out of principle. I'm sure they expected me to just give up.

  • I PM'd you store rep enquiring about my plan, thanks

  • Are you able to up the S plan to 1.5gb? (for existing customers)

  • Vaya is very much a get you in and leave you outfit.

You will never be offered anything from them as an existing customer and will be actively penalised if they offer a new plan or deal and you're already with them. They do not allow existing customers to migrate onto deals, only new customers. You'll often hear about people having to port out of Vaya and then back into Vaya to take advantage of an offer which is obviously a pain in the ass and time consuming.

Regardless of the above, I've had very few issues with the service, but just keep it in mind.

    • Hi Noraneko,

Thanks for the feedback. Just wanted to flag that this deal is available to existing customers. We also have a price beat guarantee that applies for existing customers, so if you are on a Vaya plan and spot a comparable plan for a better price, you can contact us and we will match that plan price plus give you your next month free.

Unfortunately your Christmas yearly plan special wasn't available to existing customers.

Was very annoyed to be told that our entire family would have to all get new numbers and sign up with a new sim if we wanted to get the offered price/plan.

  • Horrible customer service, I swapped to optus.

  • I tried to switch to these guys when they first apeared on the scene and they were totally crap. No one would respond to my online requests for assistance. I was without internet and phone for at least a month — be warned!

  • Optus are currently doing $36 per month with 12gb for students.

    Will you match this?

  • Only upgraded to the XL plan at beginning of Feb, do I need to pay $5 again to change to this existing deal, Cheers

    • Hi Mossi, please PM me and I will look into this for you.
