Man F1 has fallen so far since the glory days of Senna, Schumacher and Hakkinen. Bringing back the engine noise would be a good start.

With Ross Brawn at the helm, it could be making quite a comeback

      • Manufacturers rule F1 today. It also sounds like the new owners want teams to buy into the F1 business – If this happens it will just be more about what the manufacturers want & no necessary what the racing fans/public wants. Would love to see V8s or V10s back - unfortunately that is not the way car industry is heading :(

Anyway as always will just end up watching on Foxtel, cannot stand channel 10's crap coverage, crap couch and crap reality tv show stars…

    • Agreed. I'd actually start watching again if they brought back NA V8s, 10s or 12s. That's not just nostalgia talking either; I resorted to watching older seasons online for the first time last year and older F1 is indisputably more entertaining (and pure).

If the heads of the "new era" of F1 decide to drop the gimmicks (DRS, ERS etc) and target actual motorsport enthusiasts again instead of greenies, then I'll jump back on the F1 train. Meanwhile though, I'll just sit back and watch/goto MotoGP races until they finish the job it looks like they're starting.

      • I dont think its that bad but I agree its been a Mercedes procession most of the times and some tracks dont make for good racing. Unfortunately Albert Park is one. Crap track that makes for bad racing.

  • Nooooo. I bought a GA ticket for Saturday at $66 (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/291509). This deal has them at $65.
