looks good… Aldi was sold out of their external so i may grab this…

  • Samsung SATA 1.5TB $105 @ MSY

Not that much cheaper with shipping included …

    • +5

So compared to MSY this saves (for me at least) 7 bucks, but 7 bucks is still 7 bucks :p

      • but by not buying it you're saving $90 =]

?????? its $90 and the other stores sell it for $99 and that's not a bargain.??? Boy some people are hard to please. You know getting in your car and driving 5km really is the equivalent to spending $5 or so. You really should read up on how we vote negative here. Its designed to highlight an obvious flaw, and not back up a personal opinion. Vote revoked, and please read the guidelines for voting in the wiki, that way you'll contribute a lot more to the community

        • haha. told. good stuff ozpete.

        • Do apologize I just read on up on negative voting (haven't been here long and mistook what a negative vote meant).

Only meant to point out that it's not really any cheaper (once you factor in shipping) when compared to many stores and personally prefer to buy hard drives in person (in-case of DOAs) unless there is a significant saving that can be used to factor in return shipping if required.

Not saying its a bad deal, just not really a great one compared to some of the other hard drive specials priceengine have done.

          • @tlf: tif - no problems - is nothing for us to revoke a vote that's not correct, no lashes or black marks against you. AND your comments are still intact for others to see, so they can use the information to their advantage. Welcome aboard.

@tlf: But remember. If a hard drive is $1.00 less than any other store, it's the biggest bargain the world has ever seen around here. Anything else is not a bargain unless it's 100% off and they pay you $20 for taking it. :p

  • saves you experiencing their crappy service too :)

  • Is it going to be a regular thing to change the item for sale during the afternoon?

  • i have 2 of these hard disks in a Dlink NAS (DNS-323). I have had no issues with them. They are slightly noisier than WD Green Drives. thats about it.

hmmm I wonder why there wasn't a model holding this HDD xD

  • i have 4 of these, all good, not like the 2 wds i rtm'd a few times lol :P

    Hey Pricesengine,

Centrecom had this for $89 yesterday, and we know how you like to be the cheapest, so can you drop your price by $2? ;)

good deal… i'd be more inclined if it had free shipping though…

This are surprisingly quick for a 5400rpm drive. Slightly faster than my old SAMSUNG HD642JJ 7200rpm, in fact. If you aren't after the outright speed of the F3, they are quieter, much cooler and maybe will last longer.

  • Wow this actually sold out =O
