  • I have a Hisense fridge and it has been a supreme disappointment. I can't even get to second base.

    • I am planning on buying the HISENSE HR6TFF527SD for my grandmother. I am yet to find positive reviews.

Mine is a large model, with a digital display on the front which I assumed was going to be accurate, but it just a digital display of what you have set it to. In two years it has iced up in the freezer twice, with multiple overflows of water onto the kitchen floor and last week it decided that the fridge should read at 23 degrees. I was advised to turn it off and on after half an hour and over the next two days it finally reached around 4 degrees, when I had set it to 2 degrees. Meanwhile a lot of food was thrown out. The service people have always been very friendly but it's a very big lemon.

I bought this fridge for $1061 (incl. delivery and 4 year replacement product care) from Hardly Normal just after boxing day. Agreed its energy rating is disappointing but performance is not. Overall we are quite happy with it.

  • wow…602 Kwh… its going to cost to run

    • For comparison, the F&P 3.5 star is rated at 414kWhr/yr.

So save $50/yr in power bills, a 4% return on investment, assuming the 2 fridges are otherwise equal :)

If the efficiency is so bad, you have to wonder how many other corners were cut to get the low price.

  • My fridge died a few days ago so I'm looking for a new one. Hisense has a few fridges, looks nice and price is about right. I'll have to research some reviews though.

This particular fridge was on my radar but the cost to run this thing is a bit much…

If you choose not to integrate your new RS90A1 fridge, there is the option of purchasing these Stainless Steel door panels to complete the fridge. DOES NOT INCLUDE REFRIGERATOR. Purchase Refrigerator separately - Model No RS90A1

Sure, if you just want doors!

      • Oh….that is why…
I was surprised about the price as well…..

That explains the low energy use too.
